Spoke to someone today regarding my contract coming to an end and was told that they cannot match some of the offers available on the market place, mind you I did tell them I was after a Wii. Well on several sites I can sign up for T-Mobile at £25 per month line rental plus I can get a Wii (or another free gift) as well getting cashback by going through Quidco or similiar site.
I am currently on the Flext £25 plan and the options given to me are -
1. Stay with current phone and have a £10 per month reduction on my line rental OR 2. Switch to the Combo plan for £20 per month plus an LG Viewty phone for free.
During our chat, they did say that they are looking at the possibility of offering Wii's to customers with a £40 per month plus spend but this deal may only be for new customers, so bear that in mind for the future.
Im going for one last try at negiotating but I think it looks like I will be leaving T-Mobile at this point.0 -
Should I be disappointed that no-one from T-Mobile has rung me to try and keep me?
I asked for my PAC code a week ago and got it 2 days later. Nobody has called to see why I'm leaving or anything. I'm hurt!
I have a Flext20 contract with web'n'walk so not the lowest tariff by any means but apparently no interest, Oh well, didn't really want to stay with them but it would have been nice to be asked.0 -
I rang up to try and pay off my contract early and then ask for a deal. Oh no, they wouldn't be able to offer any kind of deal unless I was one month from the end of my contract! Useless...
Downgraded contract though and may just pick up a cheapo phone on ebay to make VOIP calls over wifi.matched betting: £879.63

I'd be interested to know what 'criteria' they use to determine how good a deal they'll offer me to stay with them, I've stepped up a couple of tarrifs from Flext35, up to Flext50 as my useage has gone through the roof recently, meaning 60,70,80 and 100pound + bills when you go over your allowance...Shame you cant change tarrifs mid-month, used to be able to on Three, and they would increase your monthly entitlement pro rata for the rest of the month, and backdate any increase in price plan to your next bill, shame tmobile didnt do that, could have saved myself a fortune
PS: am very happy on Tmobile, best network I;ve been with, their Combi tarrifs for new customers look really attractive, unfortunately November is earliest I can upgrade, and thats 3 months ahead of my contract end.... hope they do me a deal to stay£4988 Lloyds TSB Mastercard
£400 O/D Lloyds TSB
£2650 Lloyds TSB Loan
£5070 Black Horse Finance
Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!0 -
T-mobile as with other networks I'm sure take alot of things into consideration when upgrading customers. How much they spent per month over the past 12/18months, how the bills have been paid, late payments on account (if any) etc I've never had orange call me about my upgrade, and it's due. Although I'm moving to T-mobile anyway, so it wouldn't matter.
Rideronthestorm - If your in the last month of your contract onwards, you can also move onto the solo15 price plan on T-mobile with 350mins and 650sms if you speak to the loyalty team again. That would be with no phone though as it's a rolling month contract so your not tied in either.0 -
I just rang T-Mobile today about ending my current contract, and they offered me an LG Viewty on Combi 30 (700mins/unlimited texts) with Web n' Walk, which is the same deal shown on their website.
I am currently on U-Fix 25, ending in just over a month's time.
I told them I would think it over. I have an O2 contract as well ending in 1 1/2 months and want to reduce to just one contract, so I shall find out what O2 (and other networks) have to offer. I think T-Mobile could have done better though.0 -
see what o2 are offering you then put them against eachother. See who wants your business more. I'm sure you'd get a better deal.0

Hi,
My contract is up for renewal with T-mobile in 28 days.
I currently have an MDA Vario II (HTC Tytn) on a flex 25+W&W discounted to £27.50p/m.
I would like to either keep my current handset and get a decent discount on the line rental or upgrade to a similar but newer model of PDA.
i would prefer to stay with t-mobile due to the data package but would be willing to move if any other operators are offering a decent data package now.
Any ideas what kind of deals T-mobile are offering to retain customers? The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -

For deals see this thread - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=725817
While the MDA Vario III is quite good, you'll probably want to wait for the release of the T-Mobile MDA Vario IV. It's out in other countries (Netherlands, Germany, Austria), but hasn't made it to the UK yet (rumour mill has it slated for an early October release).
I'd therefore see if you can go SIM only for a period (can be quite cheap) or continue your current tariff, then once the Vario IV is released "request your PAC code".*I reserve the right to have an opinion, the right to change this opinion and the right to be wrong.*Hope that helps.
