T-Mobile Retentions

I have done upgrades before where I have cancelled a customers airtime discount and got a new phone instead.
Just a word of advice though.
Decide before the end of this month as TMobile are tightening up on upgrades as of 1st October to the extent that they will refuse upgrades for low spend customers.0 -
thanks for that...
the guy i spoke to did mention that there was changes coming 1st October. when i pressed him he would not say what they were but hinted that the same offer may not be on the table... i just presumed he was saying it to get me to sign up on the spot, to meet a monthly target or something.
i guess that shortens my decision time then because i am a very low spend customer these days. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -

whats classed as a low spend customer, my tarrif is £50/month, and i only go a couple of quid over my tarrif, if the upgrade deals I'm due to start enquiring about arent going to be attractive when it comes to time to call, I may think about jumping network£4988 Lloyds TSB Mastercard
£400 O/D Lloyds TSB
£2650 Lloyds TSB Loan
£5070 Black Horse Finance
Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!0 -
i was paying £27 a month but using next to none of my inclusive calls & texts. I got a new tariff (combi 15 + WnW) discounted to a tenner.
i'd imagine £50/month is someone they want to keep. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
Im well overdue my upgrade on tmobile, i want the nokia N96 im currently on flext 35
i want to know how is the best way of goign about trying to get the best deal out of them, do you have to ask to be put trought to customer retentions are something or do you threaten to cancel ?

It depends on the monthly usage, I would look around and see what deals the other networks are doing, when you have found a deal you like, contact T-Mobile and say what you would like, if they don't agree to it then tell them the deal you have seen and they will either match it or refuse, if they refuse ask to be put through to cancellations where you can request your pac code, and during that time (30 days) you should get a call back off T-Mobile offering you the deal you want, they would rather have your custom than you going elsewhere.0

Did you go to upgrades or cancellations? You may well get a better deal by calling cancellations and saying you're looking to get your PAC code as you've seen a good deal for the N96 elsewhere.
You can quote that the N96 is available on Orange Dolphin £35/month (600 mins/UL texts) on a 18 month contract if you pay £29.99 for the phone. This is through both Dial a Phone or Mobile Express.
If you've not incurred any call charges on top of your £35/month FlexT tariff, maybe they don't think they can make enough out of you if they let you have the N96 for less than what they've quoted. In this case, you would either have to wait until it drops in price, take your business elsewhere (or maybe go for the N85 when it's out, which is better overall IMO and probably cheaper)

What happens when you request you pac code, after 30 days will your contract be cancelled?0
