Anyone know if the monthly amounts given to customers upgading includes the recent price increase?

    From this article
    Who is affected?
Not all customers will be hit. Contracts which aren't affected include:
    • Orange customers who signed up after 2 December 2012.
    • Orange business, Sim-only, works and "current pay monthly consumer" customers.
    • T-Mobile customers who signed up after 22 January 2013.
    • T-Mobile customers on 30-day Sim-only and the "current consumer" plans.
    • All customers on EE tariffs.

If you just got an increase and you upgrade on the same plan, you should be OK for another 12 month period

Called to get my PAC this morning, I was after an S4. Got offered Full Monty on 24 month deal for £30 up front and £35 a month.

    Anyone done better?

I'm thinking of going to Vodafone on a 12 month contract then seeing what deals are out on 4G networks at the end of that. It seems a shame to limit a 4G phone to 3G, but the EE "deals" are poor IMO.

Didn't really negotiate, I asked what deals are were for s4. The chap gave prices for existing tariff and prices on the 4g plan. The funny thing is the 4g plan the Hands cost was £70 so i stuck to my original plan.

I did spend a fortune on my bill going over my allowance every month maybe now they are offering me a good deal.

I am a bit confused here, you just asked for the deals on the s4? i called them up and did that and they said i could touch it for any less than £36. I have finished my contract and the deals were absolutely useless. Do you by any chance have the name of the chap you spoke to?

not everyone is offered the same retention deal. the main factor that will depend how good your deal is, is how much money you make them, ie how much extra you spend over your basic tariff cost over your last contract deal.

for example if 2 people both have a contract @ £35 a month and bob's average bill is £36.50 a month, but bill's is £62.50, Bill will be offered a lot better deal to stay if he tried to leave at the end of him minimum term, because he made them a lot of money. Bill didn't, so they won't be that bothered if he leaves, hence no good deals to try and keep him.

Bikeman 17 said "I did spend a fortune on my bill going over my allowance every month ", hence why he got offered such a good deal.

Unless you're spending a similar amount, you won't get a similar deal.

Finally come to end on my contract,

    I currently have got;

    100 mins
    100 texts
    free landline booster
    3GB
    £10.58

Is is worth bothering with retentions or would you say I should keep this as a rolling contract?
