Has anyone had the 'chat' offer go through?

I just tried to use the service re an upgrade and was given the following warning before it started:

"You are about to be connected to a new connection sales advisor for T-Mobile UK. Please note they do not have access to existing customer details and cannot process upgrades or queries related to an existing T-Mobile account. If you have a query of this nature please contact customer services on 0845 412 5000 or 150 from a T-Mobile handset.."

You need to log into 'My T-Mobile' and go to the upgrade page. If you just go to the standard shop area you get the message you were given.
  • Anyone upgraded to the Note II recently?
I am hoping to get my monthly spend under £30 for unlimited tmob calls/internet/texts/500 minutes and free handset or as low as possible. Am I asking too much there? :D

Also has anyone had any 'extras' thrown in with upgrades such as accessories? Probably more likely in store if this does happen....

Mije1983 - I saw the same message the last time I used the chat and the person I spoke to told me I would need to call up for upgrades, but I wasn't entitled to the automatic upgrade then, just the early one with a % off to end early so I don't know if that was why I was told to call....
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life... unless I buy something.

Been waiting most of yesterday afternoon and am waiting this morning for the chat to pop up on the upgrade and renewals page. Nothings come up so far and my PAC expires in 4 days. Hopefully it will come up and i get offered something I want.. which is a HTC One :)
  • My PAC expired a few days ago so I rang up for a new one... same rubbish as before about "let us see if we can do anything" followed by quoting me £200 up front and £26 a month on the HTC One.... !!!!!!... anyway got my PAC again and have now got my HTC One on Orange, 18m contract, free phone, 400/unlimited/750mb after cashbacks = £22 ish a month. Well pleased with that if all the cashbacks come off.

    Bye bye T-Mobile.

Any chance you could tell me where you found that Orange deal from?

Got what feel is a good deal on the HTC One via the online chat today, although was a lot upfront... But was able to pay for that via credit card which I have 0% on purchases for the next 15 months so worked well for me.

Anyway I paid £279.99 for the phone and remained on my current tariff which I currently pay £15.86p/m for 300mins 300txts unlimited data and 1 free booster but with a £7p/m discount so only £8.86p/m line rental!

Works out at £492.63 over 24 month contract or around £20.53 p/m if averaged out.

My last attempt via chat, best I was offered was £26pm for 500mins + unlimited data and texts with £179.99 upfront.

They bettered my deal in the webchat too. Cheaper tariff and new phone. But for my sins I went for the new Huawei P1 LTE. I may live to regret it. We shall see.

Are you guys getting good deals straight away or is it taking a few chat sessions?

Just spoken on chat and was offered £36 per month + £70 upfront!!
Mentioned the deal I saw on here about £18.50 per month + £70 and pointed to a deal I saw on affordable mobiles.

I was told they may price match certain people on difference pricing but not me.

Maybe I just ended up speaking to the wrong person? Will try again tomorrow.

Definitely try more than once, but the general rule seems to be the more money you spend each month currently, the better the deal you get for an upgrade.

I was happy on my first chat, but I had spoken to someone already.

I spend very little so only get a small discount, but its an old plan so I get stomping data for nought. Thats why i am for some reason staying with this god forsaken company!
