i phoned up tmobile and the 'best' they could offer me for the galaxy s 2 was £35 a month for a free phone which quite frankly is an awful deal especially when i told then i could get it on affordable mobiles for £25 a month on tmobile might i add. Maybe i just spoke to someone useless but you would have thought they would have offered me something a little better

does anyone know what happens when you request your pac code? does it cancel your contract straight away? or do you have some time before its cancelled?

i want to get the galaxy s II but obviously want to have another contract sorted before mine is cancelled but if i keep phoning up tmobile and saying im i wanna cancel and dont do it i fear they wont think im serious about leaving

Your contract will not close until you have given notice. (30 days).

You call up & request your pac code, which starts your 30 days notice.

you now have 30 days to find a new provider, take out the deal and give them your PAC code.

If however you have not used your PAC code within the 30 days period, it will expire and you will have to call for another & start the 30 days notice period again.

Alternative to this would be cancelling and not taking your number. Call up, give notice to cancel and in 30 days time your account will close and number will be deleted.

Final option would be transfering your number to PAYG, you keep you number but no longer have a monthly commitment.

T-mobile take cusotmers wanting to leave very seriously, so if you want to cancel and they cannot help or retain you then they will process your request. Sometime better deals can be found elsewhere on certain phones. Its a competitive market afterall which makes it great for us being the people purchasing the products.

Thanks, i think what i might to is phone up again, see if i can get a deal on the galaxy sII, if not just request a pac code and that will give me 30 days to find a new phone as i fully intend to get a new one in the next 30 days anyway

I had an 18 months contract for my htc hero and I just got offered
    300 mins
    unlimited t-mobile calls
    300txt
    unlimited internet
    24 months contract
    wildfire htc
    12.50 a month
does anyone think this is a good deal?

I just upgraded (downgraded?) from an HTC desire at £25 per month and they have given me a Wildfire S, 300 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited t-mobile calls and unlimited internet on 18 month contract for £10 per month, so I think you could negotiate more

hi they offered me a wildfire s as well but for 12.50 a month for 24 months, I think I'll sell the phone as I don't really like it, not sure if I should request my pac code to see if they offer me a better deal or just go for it in case I cannot get this one any longer:o

Coming to end of Flext40 contract.
Currently paying £40 pm, unlimited internet, £229 to spend on calls. Usefulas it can be used to make international calls.

    Wanted to cut monthly costs.

Offered Wildfire, £25pm, weekend landline calls, £183 to spend

Was hoping for same as current for £20pm. Has anyone had a good deal when renewing Flext contract?

    I'm on a T-Mobile 30 day sim only deal - £10 P/M, which I got through QuidCo, making £50+ profit.

Went to cancel today with retentions this morning and they offered me something I really couldn't refuse.

    - 300 mins
    - 300 text
    - "Unlimited" internet
    - Flexible booster (a choice of versions options)
    - Free LG Pecan Android

18 month contract @ £90 for the full term.

So with this I could sell the phone and pay that towards the line rental, else keep the phone as a spare. They had a couple of other handsets but the LG Pecan is a new one out so thought I'd go for that.

Personally I've always been very impressed with T-Mobiles customer service and the lady I spoke to well extremely helpful.

What with QuidCo, I'm well in profit! :-)

    G.
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

    I was offered
    HTC wildfire S
    100 mins
    100 text
    unlimited internet
unlimited land line or unlimited text or 60 mins calls to India (they are selling international calls package but I refused as mobiles are expensive)
for £9 per month but 24 month contract.
I said make it 18 months as other sites are giving similar deal on 18 month contract.
