  • Ive been with tmobile for 15 years (one to one before) and after 9 months of "begging" and speaking to the retentions team this is the deal ive been offered...

    Iphone 4 white

    £30 for the phone

£40 a month for the contract (flex 40) - i do use allot of mins

18 month contract (as oppose to 24 months to joe public

A guarentee on my account that i can renew my contract after 12 months to another tmobile contract.

    the good
ive been with tmobile 15 years so they have let me have a tariff not open to new costomers, and they have let me have an 18 month contract for the price of a 24 month

    the bad
i just feel after 15 years of getting great redemtions, this isnt a lot

    the summary
total cost over 18 months is £750

just a small note, i will prob get a £5 booster each month to take monthly price to 45 and total cost to £840 (but this can be changed every 30 days, so not set in stone)

i use about 1000 mins and 300 text every month, so the 900 mins contracts are not enough

Has anyone any experience of either getting a rolling or 12 month SIM only retention offer?

Spoke to a helpful lady today after having a T-Mobile 12 Month Sim Only Tariff (£10/month). I accepted this offer:-

    600 Mins
    Unlimited Texts
    Unlimited Internet
    Free Samsung Galaxy Ace
    £15/month on 12 Month contract.

Going into my local store on my day off to collect my new phone

  • Hi all,

My T-mobile Flext 25 + Web & Walk 24 month contract expired and I'd like to move to Samsung Galaxy S 2. Happy with the package, which I mostly use for internet, much less for phone/minutes or texts.

Phoned T-mobile upgrade people and they told me it is not yet available, but promised to call me next week when they expect to get it.

Registered with Phones 4U and got a call today with the following offer:
    24 month contract
    £25.53 monthly rental
    and £69.95 for the phone.

Wasn't sure if it would be Flext 25 again or something different and asked about terms and conditions, but she referred me to their web site.

Any suggestions if this is a good deal? Should I wait for the offer from T-mobile?

Has anyone succeeded in getting the phone for free?

    Regards,
    Gidra

Lol... I had 5 months left of my 12 month sim only plan! I rang up as I was going to change to another provider and the cashback via quidco would've been enough to pay off my plan with T-Mobile. Basically because I need a new phone - very happy with this deal! ;o)

Call a few times. I've never understood this (but I guess some people get a bit passive-aggressive talking to customers all day), Sometimes the next guy will be glad to offer you an amazing deal.

NEVER call up and ask what they can do for as an existing customer you and never ask about upgrades. This tells them that you are happy to stay with them. DO tell them that you are thinking of leaving, and do find good deals on other networks (they will check, so don't tell them O2 are giving out free puppies and iPhones unless you can back it up). Remember, if you ask for a PAC code, you don't have to use it (it lasts for 30 days), but they might give you a friendly call to see what they can do to keep you with them.

If you're not bothered about sticking with T-Mobile

I like to use Omio (Google it, I can't post links), find a deal I like, then call up all the networks and see if they can beat it. If you're REALLY up for a challenge, take note of what each network offers you, then call every network again and then see if they can beat the best offer given to beat the Omio offer. Some networks might refuse to top the second offer, because you can't prove they offered you it over the phone, but see if you can get some sort of Ref#, for each call so you can go back and get an offer from earlier.

Don't ignore networks just because they don't get good signal near you (or for any reason), you can still use them for bargaining purposes.
