Currently on a 18 month contract, £30 a month with the HTC Hero, 800 minutes, unlimited texts and "unlimited" internet.
Phoned them up wishing to continue my contract via a "Flext" contract if they still offered it, been offered 18 months at £35 a month with the HTC Desire HD for free - comes with £180 of credit to use a month and "Unlimited" internet - Is this a good deal?
Edit:
The phone will be used to phone France / 08 numbers a bit while no texts will be used and nowhere close to 800 UK minutes, hence the want for Flext
Extra Edit:
If it was possible, I'd also be very happy to transfer to sim-only for a few months or delay getting a handset until there were a few newer ones out as I won't need it until September anyway.0 -

The Flext is a good deal if it works for you - As they dont offer Flext anymore im not sure if you can move it over to a SIM only contract?!
The phone seems to be a popular choice and is the HD version so easy to sell and get a phone you want when new ones come out.:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Didn't think they offered Flext anymore either, then I found this:

just made the first of many calls, been offered Htc wildfire, motorola defy or galaxy ace for £10 p/m 24months or £15 p/m 18mnths, 100 mins, unlimited text/internet,
cs guy said the desire hd would be over £25 per month and not worth paying for as phone used so little (he had a point)
will have to look into these, any opinions on the handsets ?
have to add, CS chap was very very good - if a little patronising about which handset to go for !

Anyone know whats the deal with the Fair Usage Policy reduction and upgrades/renewals.
I am currently on the 3gb allowance and get half price line rental through friends and family on T-mobile, which usually means negotiating is a little tougher.
I am due an upgrade next month, so was wondering can I renew on the same contract and keep my 3gb allowance (use the phone for tethering so need to keep this).0 -
I thought tethering was against the Fair Usage Policy anyway?0
-
As long as you stay within 3gb I was told its fine on the Android contracts.
At the end of the day, they cant work out where the phone is sending the data0 -
Thats good to know, havent tried tethering yet myself but will do soon.0
