well I just rung them, spoke to upgrades, N(% not in stock. Not coming in this week. Told me to call back next Monday as the stock sheet comes in then.
I then asked to go through to retentions for my PAC code.
Got them, didn't even attempt to keep me. Just said i hear you are looking for yoru PAC as we don't have the N96 8GB in stock.
i rung Vodafone to check if I could pick when the number to be ported. they said i could.
As I have 14 dyas to change your mind with them, so I want to try the phone make sure happy before porting number. If I don't like it I can then ask O2 for something else and stick with them.
I've also just had an automated call from vodafone to ask how their customer service was :rotfl:Two Pound Coin Savings club - Started 11/2/06 - £550 banked so far :T0 -
O2 seem to be trying quite hard to keep the N95 8GB to the most expensive tariffs - don't blame them since the handset itself is a pretty pricey piece of kit. Something with £600 RRP, even with some discounts, might not be worth subsidizing for too low a tariff.
Nokia are reportedly less than happy with this move as it will hit their N95 8GB sales, hope their response will be to drop the price a bit0 -
Does anyone know what the best deals are around at the moment to throw at O2 for comparisons / haggling? I've spent the last 2 hours searching and the best I can find on what I want, a SE C902, is:
3 mobile:
300 mix n match £22pm
OR
500 texts and unlimited minutes £25pm
Given that I ideally want the latter deal above, but for only £20pm, and with free internet bolt on, as many many people on this thread have got, what deals can I point them towards?
The girl just now even questioned me on it, saying if you can find good deal on the internet that she can also see, she will match it, 'but I doubt you can' - and after 2 hours of searching I can't find one on the C902 so maybe she's right.
How does everyone else play it? Someone earlier mentioned a 3 deal for £18, but I can't find this, you have to add the £7 video calling thing to get the C902 included free.0 -
N95 8GB free on £30 per month.
1200 mins, 1000 Msgs, 200 O2 to O2 mins and 20mb internet per month.
Thats my deal, got it 2 months ago.0 -

I have my doubts about the N95 8GB costing less than £100 to make. True, it does seem a bit greedy if the profiteering is the case, however we can give the best response: switch to other networks that do offer it more cheaply. That's our right as consumers0

My contract renewal date is 18th september. would i be able to call now to get an upgrade phone?0

Get it in writing tso they don't fob you off when the phone comes out !!!!!!
Any more details on how much you spent this year, how long with them, any techniques used on the phone ?
Cheers
Ditto that ^^. I got offered the same only to find out that when i rang back, the free c905 had conveniently been left out of the notes for that call.
I now have it in writing via an email.0 -
Just spoke to a nice guy at vodafone direct sales and he could match the offer that my friend has
600mins + unlimited txts + unlimited internet @ £20pm for 15months, then £40 for the final 3 months. Also he said that you can upgrade in the 16month, so only pay for 1 month @ £40.
Awesome deal but said the HTC touch phones are being returned a lot with faults, and he could sort me out with a C902 instead. hmmmmmmm faults or fobbing me off because of short supply, or maybe they want to push cheaper phones.
Shall see what O2 retentions can do for me and if they have the HTC in stock now.0
