Its stopped for all new tariffs/contracts which includes renewing your new contract.

The unlimited data will be stopping too for new tariffs/contracts. Think that is going to happen sometime in mid-June. Ah, maybe when the new iphone comes out.

  • Anyone have the number for o2 retentions?
  • Anyone who managed to bag the Online45 with discount deals last year note that o2 won't be providing this same discount at all and cannot offer anything similar. Threatening to leave will just result in them sending you the PAC code. I am still trying to call again to see if another customer rep may response differently but so far 3 reps have confirmed this.

    My Tariff:
    Online45 £25 per month (£40 minus £15 discount)
Free Xperia1 phone (sold and replaced with iphone 3GS)
    1200 anytime any network minutes
    1000 text messages
    free unlimited data bolt-on
    free unlimited weekend calls bolt-on
Target Savings: Deposit on my first property by September 2010

    Got this offered:

    24 month contract
    First 18 months @ £13/month (which is a £2/month discounted off "normal" £15/month charge)
    Last 6 months @ £15/month
    300 mins/month
    Unlimited texts
    £150 credit (no handset)
Works out at £7.25/month for 24 months.

I've got the same deal and am wanting a blackberry bold 9700 (i should wait for a 9800 though!!)...but i cant wait!!! i want one now!!

is there no way i can get an upgrade from them on this? :(

they're getting more and more stingy every year *&^%$ misers!!

would it be better to buy a phone and then get a sim only deal with a bb bolt on (if it's possible?)

I got offered today a Sony ericsson Vivaz Pro with 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and unlimited weekend calls for £27 (24 months) or £32 (18 months)

The contract I am currently on I get the above (except the weekend calls) for £20!!

I pointed this out and had little sympathy!! Oh and I currently also get free broadband which they wont continue (whicj is fair enough)

They say the big discounts they gave last year wont be given again.

"which is why I m leaving and want my PAC/MAC code" was my reply

Rang back today to see what they would offer and it was
Iphone 3g (not 3gs) reconditioned (free)
    600 mins
    unlimited texts
    Unlimited Internet

(and maybe weekend calls bolt on but cant honestly remember now)

on 18 month contract for £28 per month.

This is a bit better but will hang on a few weeks to see if the 3GS prices come down when the Iphone 4 is out

Could do with a bit of advice if anyone can help please:

I rang O2 yesterday to see what they could offer me, and the answer was not very much, though I wasn't put through to retentions.

I'm currently on a rolling simplicity tariff (£10 per month, £7.50 unlimited web bolt on). I have been on this since my last contract finished in January, but prior to this my bills were around £40 -£50 a month for the last 5 years.

I asked about iPhone 3GS deals and was told there weren't any. I was offered a HTC Desire for £149, £30 per month over 24 months, or a Palm Pre for free for £25 per month over 24 months.

Basically I fancy an iPhone 3GS but not sure how to go about bartering with O2 to see if I can get one - I'd take a reconditioned one if they offered it on the cheap.

How do I get put through to retentions without actually having to leave?! You see I'm basically happy to continue as I am, but will change my phone and happy to pay more per month on a contract if I could get a cheap 3GS.
