I am sick of 02, I am currently going through a procedure with ofcom and related agencies as I have had an 18 month contract changed into a 24 month contract without my knowledge. I've not had my phone for 6 months and am using my partners old brick. I've already called customer services and retentions, but had no help apart from being told I can either pay over £200 to get out of my contract, or hang on until next Feb! Sick of it!

Just got off the phone with Retentions, they were completely uninterested in keeping my custom, Said your pac code would be sent out in 24 hours and then hung up.

I have been a contract customer with o2 for about 9/10 years now, if I tried to get an iphone when I'm due to upgrade but failed the credit check (was declared bankrupt in 2007 but was able to keep contract, even though I presume I would fail it) would that affect my bargaining position if I tried to upgrade to a different model?

due to upgrade 26th this month

I got offered today a Sony ericsson Vivaz Pro with 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and unlimited weekend calls for £27 (24 months) or £32 (18 months)

The contract I am currently on I get the above (except the weekend calls) for £20!!

I pointed this out and had little sympathy!! Oh and I currently also get free broadband which they wont continue (whicj is fair enough)

They say the big discounts they gave last year wont be given again.

"which is why I m leaving and want my PAC/MAC code" was my reply

Did you get 6 months free?, as you might have thought it was a 18 month contract and maybe was a 24 month contract with 6 months free and 18 months to pay.
    Kind Regards

Im not sure about that, but you could upgrade via the carphonewarehouse , they don't do a credit check for upgrades.
