seems retentions really are a thing of past with O2. At end of my 18month contract and been wi o2 for years, i am on the online 35 deal (unltd texts and 600mins i think) for £20 a month, which i am obv happy with. phoned retentions today and they told me that for the n86 i want i have to pay £48.93 AND go to paying £35 a month!!!! so they want an extra £15 a month off me and dosh for the phone!! that is rotten!! i thought initially i was just having to pay for the phone and was still going to pay £20 a month. couldnt believe the lassie on phone when she said that!! wasnt any room for bartering or anything. it was a case of thats the only thing we can do! Well, i am looking to move elsewhere i think ill request my pac code tomoro. really bad stuff from o2!!!0

so are you paying 25pound a month? i went on to look at o2s website as if i was a new customer, its pretty much the exact same deal i am getting and i have been wi o2 since the days it was bt cellnet! the sad part is that i am probably going to have to pay £35 to another network with the phone I want, but its the principal that im not going to pay o2 that!! Loyalty obviously means nowt to o2 now!!0 -
I've just accepted an offer of:
2 year o2 contract (before you say it, I know... )
200 mins
400 texts
'Unlimited' internet (200mb per month)
£5.50 per month (£25 per month, chequeback equiv £19.50/month)
No phone but it still feels like a good deal. Never had a prob with carphone warehouse cashbacks. Have had all the line rental (as in *all* the line rental) back on this contract for about three or four years now (if not longer).
