Does anyone know whether O2 UK will be stocking the N97? I've heard so many different reports saying yes and no. Has anyone got one yet? Have O2 commented at all on the situation?0

I agree with justpaper, if you cannot get a good deal out of O2, I encourage you to take your business elsewhere. It is the best way (if you believe the economists) of conveying your unhappiness with the deal you have been offered.
O2 have the right to not entertain the demands of customers who refuse to pay full price, just like any other business. It is their loss if these customers take their money elsewhere, and they have decided that losing this customers is OK for them. If they still make money and stay ahead of the competition, I'd say they are doing well because if they ensure most of their customers are paying full price they will have better margins than the other networks.
True, and some members are saying O2 is doing crap . i cant beleive that,E2save used to have great deals, but recently I haven't seen anything worth going for at all. I've done many cashback deals with them previously, all with out any problems.
mobiles.co.uk seems to have much better deals now, which is strange is this is another carphonewarehouse company like e2save.
I think my only option now is to transfer away from O2 to a PAYG on another network, and then I can transfer back into O2 as a new customer again. It's a bit of hassle, but the only option at the moment, as the upgrade/redemption deals are useless.
I knocked cashback deals on the head, only do them thru quidco etc,.
I'm looking to take up Three (3) on their current deal,

plus the 55£ cashback on quidco !0 -

There is a lot a talk going on over at the O2 Forum that it is unlikely that O2 will ever be stocking the N97. Which I think is really stupid as it's quite obvious a lot of customers are leaving because they won't stock it.
My contract is due for upgrade next month. I currently get the following:
600mins, 500txts, Free Web Bolt On. £25/month.
What would be the best deal I could get else where if I really want the N97? (Preferably for FREE!)0 -
Just called up.
My current tarrif (now running out) was:
12 month contract - Sim only (no phone)
200 texts
200 minutes
£300 account credit (so no hassle with redemption)
£30 a month
So I pay only for the 1st and last month of the contract (£60 total)
They are no longer offering this deal. Here's what I was offered
18 month contract - Sim only
600 mins
500 texts
Unlimited web
£35 a month
£420 cashback via redemption
Works out @ £11.76 per month
I'm thinking this isn't a brilliant deal compared to my last 2 years with them0 -

Mark my words - it won't be long before they realise this and reverse this policy as they won't be able to support losing so much business to their competitiors.0 -

Hmm, if O2 lose enough customers their market share might drop enough that they could then buy out T-Mobile without Ofcom complaining
Am personally thinking about asking for my PAC and going to Three for better 3G/data coverage. It is just that I have good memories of O2's customer service (always sorted out queries very quickly)... *sigh*0 -
They cancelled the £15 discount on mine, and back-charged me about £10 for the previous month.
The reply to my first email query was a load of nonsense, claiming that I'd agreed a discount in December 2007 which had just ended. No, there was no agreement then, and this contract started last July and was supposed to have 18 months discount.
£25 has been added back to my account and the £15 discount "extended" to when it's supposed to reach, but I'll be keeping a close eye on it.
Exactly the same happened to me!
I agreed £15 discount on £35 contract for full 18 months.
On month 14 they stopped discount and clawed back "incorrect" discount given in month 13.
I had to have a mental to get it sorted, good job I had letter confirming agrrement!
However, i got £25+ vat on bill 15 which sorted months 13 and 14
BUT they only added £10 discount back on for remaining months.
I phoned customer services again - told it would be fixed on next bill.
Bill 16 arrives, not sorted - still only £10 discount.
I phoned customer services again, but have no confidence it will be fixed.
I emailed customer services, asking them to put it in writing (email ok) that it was to be sorted, I emailed on Wes 22nd, saying if i didnt hear from them by today - Fri 24th I would cancel Direct Debit (due on sun 26th)
Advice please?
I've not heard anything, should i cancel Direct Debit? Or will that just cause me more hassle??0 -

No.Or will that just cause me more hassle??
Yes it will.
Instead email the CEO Matthew.Key@o2.co.uk and explain what has happened and what you have tried to do to get it corrected. You will then be contacted by one of his senior team who will get it resolved quickly.0
