Just phoned O2 to see what is on offer as contract due for renewal at the end of the month and the best that they can offer is the same contract that I am on now except no phone upgrade and to pay £5 more

Could you not go through online and choose keep tariff and get the 150 cash back for keeping your phone? Sorry I haven't read the entire thread 163 Pages >_< so apologies if someone else has already said this. =D

    Hi all

Interestingly I rang 02 again last week for the 5th time to get a better deal than the useless one they offered me and the guy from 02 practically begged me to take the 02 simplicity and wait till the start of july as there were "some changes afoot"!

He then went on to say they were haemorrhaging customers and that mangement has said something was going to change but he didnt know what/couldnt tell me.

He told me to cancel my deal within the 14 day cooling off period and see what they can offer me....

I'm a bit surprised no-one who has rang up these last few days has recieved a good offer?

Oh well looks like its back to the drawing board :-(

Just out of interest - how did someone get 200 min and 400 text and unlimited internet for 9.79 p/m on 02 simplicity!!??

anyone know if they are doing any refurbished phone sales for existing contract customers? I sold my Blackberry and fear my Nokia N95 is on its last legs!
  • My 02 contract came to an end last week. When I phoned for an up-grade I was made to feel like a second class customer. I currently pay less than £19 a month and have never gone over my allotted minutes/texts. They wouldn't offer me an upgrade in the shop as it was too cheap a tariff (they where not allowed) and politely asked me to leave as they couldn't do anything for me. On the phone the only mobile they would offer was a down-grade. On-line the same story.

I found them rather aggressive in their sales tactics to sign me up for an iphone or a £25 a month contract. A contract that I don't need or will ever get value for money for.

When I finally got through all the sales patter and asked for a cancellation they couldn't put the phone down quick enough.

I can however go into CPW and get a better phone on an 02 contract with better minutes etc for £15 a month but I will have to end my current contract and start afresh as a new customer. (their sales department is obviously having leadership issues)

I have been with them for over 6 years and they have showed no customer loyalty at all. In fact I have been made to feel a cheapskate:mad:

How did you get that, I called today and they said not on their price system (getting some on Monday) so cant give a price. Unless maybe cause you went to disconnection you got that,....
  • it was my second call through to disconections - my first line was "can I have my PAC code please" was asked a few questions and just said I wanted a cheaper deal and that was the phone I really wanted and that I had seen it with Orange at just under £25 with cashback and redemption - the guy then agreed to 18months at £25 straight no sending in bills etc .. bang on for me

Are you sure it was o2 direct? W995 isn't free of charge on any tariff except £75pm at the minute?

I'd double check the deal you took if you took it through o2.

Is it an 18 or 24 month contract? At most it's a £5 discount on their standard tariff. I guess in the current climate it is still a fairly good deal. Why is the text allowance 400 and not 500? I thought the offline tariff had 500 text but there seems to be some disparity.
