I tried that one to get them to change for free internet.
The answer was no, as you need to be on a certain price plan before that is an option.
Just think if you do use the internet i dont think you pay more than £1 per day anyways, thats what they told me.

    Regards
    Dave

shame. anyone manage to haggle that?

£1 a day is quite a lot! i'll just have to look for free wifi lol

No. I think you need to be on the £35 a month tariff (even if it is discounted) to qualify for free internet. That's the only reason I got it, although I'm paying just £20 a month with free phone.

you have to be on atleast 600min tarrif to be able to change your bolt-on to unlimited internet or anything else for that matter.

[told by O2 staff as well as read on the website]

  • Hi does anyone know how long the handsets take to deliver? I upgraded on sunday and was wondering if the phone will come today or tomorrow. Is there any way to check??

The deal I got when upgrading was the samsung ultra tocco in red for free, 600 mins, 1000 txts, and unlimited web bolt on for £20 a month on an 18 month contract. I've been with three for the past few years and can say that o2 customer service is soo much better aswell as the whole upgrade process. (When o2 offer you a deal and put it on your account then when you call back it is actually on your account and you don't get the person at the other end of the line calling you a liar) :-)

It's normally next day delivery, however with the Easter hols, it'll probably take a bit longer. I'd reckon by tomorrow, you should have it.

deals seem to have got worse

when i phoned in march i got offered

    £5 per month
    18 months
    100 mins
    100 texts
no phone - £95 cash back

my mum phoned today and got told, there is no 100 minute tarriff, and that the best deal available is:

    £10 per month
    18 months
    200 mins
    400 texts
no phone - £75 cash back

(i got same deal a month ago with £150 cashback)

seeing as we are both on the same tarriff, same handset, with similar bills, it seems mad

so you did no talking, and they were like 'sir, have this , this , this and this free'

i'd believe you if you got unlimited o2 minutes, internet is reasonable as its black berry

but free home internet too?!?! and your texts are unlimited!!

If I knew how to do a screen shot on my laptop I would show u the page with the allowance from o2 online billing.

Called O2 to say I wanted PAC code as was leaveing... after the usual spiel by them said I only wanted a 12m contract and they said in that case the minimum cost would be £35 a month even on the cheapest phones.

Said on 18 month contract could have "any phone I wanted for £15 per month".... (yeah right)...

Anyway told them where to stick it, will take a 5800 for £15 a month on 12 month contract elsewhere please :D
