  • whats the cheapest way for people who are both on O2 to communicate with each other.

My sister and her partner are both on O2...is contract the best or PAYG.

Need about 2000 texts and 1500 mins...

    Thanks people

  • The last contract I had with o2 had unlimited o2 to o2 calls, so I guess that'd be a consideration!

Last night I was able to upgrade at last (and be rid of the completely broken K850i I've had for the past 18 months - which will find itself under the wheels of a train or at the shouty end of a 12 bore) and bagged myself the standard good deal that people have pointed out!

600 anytime minutes to UK lines and mobiles
    1000 texts
    Unlimited web bolt on
    LG Renoir handset
    £20

    That'll do me nicely!

Gotta say, the retentions person I spoke to (Paula) was very helpful and friendly... and despite trying to convince me that the Sony Ericsson C905 would be nowhere near as bad as the K850i, gave me that deal with no effort on my part at all. I was half expecting to have to barter a bit, but as my average bill was so high (£70ish a month) then she just leapt in and gave me that deal right away.

Not only that, but the order went through around 6pm last night and the phone is already out for delivery in Exeter (damnit, I'm at work!!!). Top marks to o2 retentions.

  • Just rang O2 upgrades to ask if I could add the unlimited internet bolt on to my current tariff (Online 500) and I was told "yes, would you like it to start tonight?"

Surprised, I then said I've been told it's not possible so she put me on hold and then came back and said no, you cannot add it, your tariff is too old..... only way is to pay £1/day to browse the net  .

Now confused as the rep was ready to set it up till I opened my big mouth. Does this mean that the rule isn't set in stone and I can add this bolton to my tariff?

    Hi all,

I've not seen this topic raise its ugly head recently.....

Has there been any change to O2 discouting either the Iphone or the iphone contract?

I usually get offered a great retention deal but want either a HTC touch (not direct from o2) or an iphone.

    Cheers

    Dan

No it can't be added, more than likely the girl assumed it could but then when you said it couldn't she's looked and noticed it can't.

On the accounts there is a tab that shows all the bolt-ons and addons that are compatable with the tariff the customer is on meaning each one is different, and if the tariffs are too old then the bolt-on's wont show. I'm surprised web daily is on there though (the £1 a day). The only way to get the web bolt-on would be to move to whats called a Q1 tariff, basically the new ones.
