You can get an upgrade or call retentions and they'll offer you something. Depends how much your spending over your tariff aswell

AFAIK, I don't think you can leave before your contract is up (unless there's a very good reason eg breach of contract etc).
Ring them, they might upgrade you.

Ive heard o2 dont give out refurbs anymore well i know they have stopped selling them now shame really picked up a few great deals

I don't suppose anyone has any info regarding warranty etc with a Blackberry phone from O2?

My deal was for a refurb Blackberry phone, and I just found out that it is only covered for 3 months, after which they tell me to deal directly with Blackberry.

I called Blackberry direct, and they tell me that they don't offer any cover beyond that given by O2 and that I should speak to O2 about any problems beyond the 3 months given by O2.

I am not very comfortable with a 24 month contract and having a phone only guaranteed for 3 of those months. Sod's law says that my phone will pack in after 91 days, and I'll be left with a big repair bill, or having to buy a new phone, this negating what is a good deal.

They have offered to replace the 8310 with an 8900, but I'd have to pay £48 for the handset, and the monthly cost would increase from £15/month to £15.40/month (in essence, a £2.50/month increase over the 24 month contract), but at least the 8900 would be covered for the full 24 months.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Kevin.

Just had a phone call from the guy who originally set up my retention deal.

Firstly, it was really good of him to take the time to look into my account and phone me back. I now have taken the following offer from him:

FREE Blackberry 8900 (NEW - He waived the £48 cost)
    400Mins/month
    500txts/month
    Free O2-O2 calls
    Free Balckberry bolt-on
    Free 12 months broadband
    £10 credit to my account
    24months @ £15/month

I honestly couldn't ask for any more than that. Very pleased with my final result. Did take 5 days to come to this in the end, but Kudos to the guy who looked after me, he was very patient, very pleasant, and did his utmost to get me the best deal possible.

Got online 35 for £20 a month for 18 months with free nokia 5800

Also, how soon after joining simplicity is someone likely to be getting upgrades?

Why would you take web instead of BB?
I am guessing because he will sell the BB phone, and thus the BB bolt-on won't work with his existing handset. By taking the web bolt on, it is compatible with any brand of phone. I might be wrong but that is my assumption.

My 5800 nearly arrived today,as DHL made an attempt with it,but left a card. But my wife came home at lunchtime to let the dog out,and as she works near the depot, she will collect it in about half an hour's time.

Can't fault the service so far,and my minutes have already been allocated,I would guess on a pro rata basis,as I have over 1500 as of today, and my month is on the 20th.

Now if I could only get them to give me the bloody broadband.......
That's my mutt in the picture above.
