Hi. I managed to place an order for the 8GB reconditioned handset today. When I called, the guy checked on the computer and the stock hadn't arrived yet. However he said sometimes the computer is slow to update and he would try to place the order anyways - as long as the system doesn't block the order, the phone is in stock apparently. I waited for around 5 minutes while he tried to get the order through and everything was fine and it should be with me tomorrow!

So try calling them tomorrow and ask them to try and place the order anyways. Although by tomorrow I am guessing the computer should be showing it is in stock anyways!

Has this turned up? I'm still being told they don't have any stock but to keep trying.

    Yeah tell me about it.
I think the demand has made them give less attractive offers as they know people will accept their £24 - £27 range, compared to the earlier £20 for the same mins, text and free internet.

    1000 text
    600 mins
    free bolt on
    free nokia 5800
    £27p/m.

wouldnt match the OLD dial a phone offer that was similar but no internet and £20 p/m. By that time, i asked for my pac, then i missed the offer!

Well i got my pac, just wondering where to go.
I could wait for o2 to have diff phones, or move to a diff network. But i want inclusive mms and video calling :(

Vodafone are doing the 5800 on a £35 month tarrif with 600mins, Unltd texts and Unltd Internet. Get 10 months half price for £17.50 which makes it slightly cheaper than the O2 £27 offer. Well i got my pac, just wondering where to go. http://shop.vodafone.co.uk//shop/deals/nokia-5800-10-mths-hlf-prc-17-50 Possible £90 Quidco as well but not sure how reliable Vodafone is on Quidco? And *shock horror* its in stock, and has been consistantly, like all networks bar O2 :(

In the same boat really, not sure if O2 have any handsets coming soon or whether to go.

Vodafone stock isnt really reliable. They have a huge forum thread with problems with stock/deliveries etc. All i know is that they had stock a few days ago, then went out of stock last night.

I'm only holding out because i want the inclusive mms text that vodafone doesnt do. But if o2 releases more phoned in march, maybe we can get a better deal. Since i think its supply and demand thats making o2 relunctant to let the handset go for so cheaply anymore. But thats what i think, not sure if its true.

Right now its leave o2, sacrifice my inclusive mms/video calling for phone and more texts for slightly cheaper than o2 offered me in retentions. (with quido)

    Doh...

After me eventually organising the following deal:

    Free Blackberry 8310 Curve
Free Motorola MotoPure H15 bluetooth headset
    400mins
    500txts
    Free O2-O2 calls
    Free Blackberry bolt on
    £22.50 credit to my account
    £15/month for 24 months

I excitedly took delivery of my phone today. opened the box, and they sent me a Blackberry 8110 instead of a Blackberry 8310

3 phone calls later, and they are going to swap out the 8110 for an 8310, and I cheekily asked, seeing as I have been inconvenienced, could I have free broadband for a year. OK then, he said, so 12 months free O2 BB worth £7.50/month

Still very happy with my deal, and now with the added advantage of free BB too.

The guy was very pleasant, and even gave me his personal e-mail address to contact him on should there be any further problems.

I have to say, the O2 retentions team have been nothing but exemplory in their dealings. Very impressed.

Did you ask if it was a refurbished one or a bran spanking new one?
Did they not offer you £20 per month 600 mins 1000 text & BB internet?

On the phone at the moment to the broadband team, and they are saying that they don't pro actively offer 12 months broadband foc,if you already have 02 broadband, but they can offer a 2 month free period only.

So for those that have had it offered foc for 12 months,do you already have 02 broadband,or are you a new customer,or have you already been given your pac code and threaten to leave,in which case the girl I'm on the phone to says it could well be offered as an incentive to stay?

They offered me broadband and when I said that I have it already they said that they would have a word with the the broadband team.

The second time i phoned to see if the 8900 was in stock and go through with the deal the CS rep said (as i went through my offer and queried the broadband again), the rep said that he could credit my account to offset the broadband. Still had no stock yesterday so will phone tomorrow and see.
