If i didnt take a phone is it possible to get

    600 mins
    1000 texts
    web bolt on

    18months at £6.67 a month?

a bit unlikely - £11.67 is much more common - actually charged at £20 a month with £150 starting credit

I see the post not far above saying £15 a month for this, discounted from £30, but I wonder if this is a misapprehension, as the O2 website still has that at £35 (well 34.26). A 24 month contract is £5 a month cheaper, but when I was enquiring 8 months ago it also had £5 less discount.

Quite a few people have been offered this - look back a few pages for details.
Will give it a go then...

    I thought deal was £20/month and £150 if no phone. Means £20 x 18= £360, minus £150 = £210 for 18 months or £11.67/month.

    This is £15 x 18= £270, minus £150 = £120 for 18 months or £6.67/month.

I was planning to upgrade to the BB 8900 on the £20 tarrif, sell it for £250-300 (they seem to be selling for that on ebay) so effectively have around £5 line rental. But if I get £15 line rental and a credit, I'd rather do that than mess around for a quid or two a month!!

Edit, beat me to it Redux. I'm not sure that offer is £15/month on a 18 month contract.

Was just on the phone to retentions and the best they can do is offer 30% on the £35 tariff ie £24. I have been with them on the £35 tariff for over a year, with some of the bills as high as £80. Should I expect better?

    Was wanting
    Nokia 5800
    600 mins
    1000 txts
    bolt on
    £20pm

which I know some people are getting.

He said he couldnt offer anything on that phone as it wouldnt be in stock for 2-3 weeks, but lowest would be £24pm for the above tariff.

Hmmm sounds like rubbish compared to what a great many other people are saying... how long have you been with O2?

So after ringing them on Saturday morning, and speaking to a rather decent chap,he told me that the 5800 wouldn't be in until yesterday,(Monday) but as I was too busy at work,I left it until today.

Rung at exactly 8am this morning, and was offered:

    3000 x mins
    1000 texts
    web bolt on
    Nokia 5800
    and that's all.

I asked about the free weekends that I had been promised on Saturday, and she said I couldn't have it unless I took the Samsung Tocco,I said "No thanks."

So I asked about free home broadband, and as I already have had it for over 12 months, she tried to put me through to the broadband team, and got cut off!!!

So I waited an hour and rang back, and got a very nice lady called Helen from the South Yorkshire call centre, and we ran through the wish list again, and I got what I wanted phone wise, including the free weekends. She did start by trying to get me on Simplicity, but once I declined, she no longer pursued it,so I wonder if they are being told to push Simplicity?

It's called Online 75,and because I'm an exisiting customer,I get it for a few P short of £46pm, (Currently paying £50pm.) which is £75 - 40% loyalty discount. (Not that it matters, because it goes through my businesss account anyway!!!)

Many thanks Helen, your a credit to 02.:T (Why can't they all be customer focused?)

So I asked about home broadband again, and she put me through to the broadband team, and the snotty cow on the other end said I could only have 2 months free.Needless to say I declined, and will ring back.

Bearing in mind,my family have the following with 02,you would think they would be a bit more flexible:

    1 x new 18 month contract @ £46pm
    1 x Simplicity deal @ £20pm.(The wife.)
    2 x Simplicity deals @ £10pm. (The daughters.)
    1 x Home broadband package.

And I could well be adding another broadband package at a local Scout HQ,for the scouts which will be in my name.

It pays you to persist, and if you go about it the right way,you will eventually succeed.

Now just got to get the free broadband.........

On the phone at the moment to the broadband team, and they are saying that they don't pro actively offer 12 months broadband foc,if you already have 02 broadband, but they can offer a 2 month free period only.

So for those that have had it offered foc for 12 months,do you already have 02 broadband,or are you a new customer,or have you already been given your pac code and threaten to leave,in which case the girl I'm on the phone to says it could well be offered as an incentive to stay?

Does anyone know what new phones are coming out for march?

I wanted the 5800, but its always out of stock and their offer was £27 for what everyone else was getting for £20!

I'm not desparate for the 5800, so wonder what else is o2 offering before i finally decide to leave?

Well they won't budge on the free broadband, and my contract expired a month ago,and the best they can offer is 2 months foc,but as I am looking at the Scouts HQ for broadband,I can have that for 12 months foc. Crazy really,as I would rather have my own home broadband foc,as the Scouts can pay for theirs, and it will be discounted anyhow.
