I am due to upgrade my contract next month, I currently pay £35 a month, with 400 mins and 500 texts (with cashback).

I'm not bothered about getting a new phone, or should I insist a new phone is necessary, so I can sell it on ebay... ( or does it work out the same?)

Looking to get around 200 mins and 100 texts, and also some web allowance. I cant find a similar deal online to help bring down the price, any ideas? (especially deals with a web allowance). How much should I expect to pay?

My sis called retentions today and got a Pixon free on the online 35 for £20pm, They've got a sale on the 8mp cameras at the moment so it should be free on all tariffs

Got the X1 after a month and a bit waiting! (They had it yesterday but couldn't process because of the system upgrade)

1000 tests
Unlimited data (free wifi in the house of course )
£27 a month inc vat
£49.52 or something for the phone

Actually a bit tempted just to sell the phone, they get around £340 on ebay.... would then work out around £10 a month using my current k850i

SIM only I think that if you want to stay with O2 it would be the usual 15 quid a month for 200 mins/400 texts;). If you don't really want to stay with O2 then the 9 quid a month deal from 3 may be worth looking at.

If you do stay try and get a new phone as you can always sell it later on if you don't want it. You should be able to get 200 mins and 100 texts for a very minimal cost on O2, probably below 10 quid if you haggled:).

I renewed my O2 contract recently..
My original contract was for 12 months 200mins and 400 txt for £30
I called up several times for a PAC code and got quoted some different deals from retention.. the best of which was a renewed 12 month contract with the same mins and txt no new phone for £11
Then i called for the final time around new years eve and spoke to a friendly retentions person who asked me what deal was i looking t change to.. so i quoted a T-mobile solo deal for £15 which offers 350mins and 650 txts
He immediately offered me on a sim only deal 400mins and 400 txt plus unlimited O2 calls for £10..
I was quite chuffed as its what i wanted for a third of the price of what i was paying previously!
I guess you just have to keep calling till you get someone who is willing to listen to what you want :j

Last year i got a nokia n95 8gb on a 12 month contract i paid £100 for the phone i was on a 45 quid a month bill plus 2x bolt ons for unlimited text and unlimited web. which put it up to £60 i also went over a bit a i text my parents out the uk too. i had 600 mins and 1000 text in this deal. this year i got

18 month contract
600 mins
1000 text
unlimited text bolt on
unlimited web bolt on
free SE c905
£20 a month.

I have checked and the phone sells for around £340 on the bay if i got thi this would bring my monthly bill down to £1.12

I'm happy. oh and i will be getting free home broadband too saving me £7.50 per month

For the last two days ive been calling retentions and been told to call back the next day as their systems are down ... is everyone else getting the same or no?

also, any news on the better iphone deals hinted at for the new year?

From what ive heard so far, retentions seem to be generous in the last week or so, so im positive, curretnly on £35 a month 600 mins, 500 texts 02-02 unlimited calls ...

this time, looking for unlim internet, about 400 mins and 1000/unlimited texts as well as either an X1 or BBBold... any ideas as to what sort of price id be looking at?

Though, i'll be asking about the iphone too!
