This is with O2... Its not O2-CPW or third party old deal.. This one is straight from O2 online... I was at the end of my contract and they renewed me with the above deal.

I posted this to check whether anyone has managed to bag any 12 months contract previuosly

mind you O2 XDA ZEST is the phone launched by O2 during the 3rd week of Nov 2008.

    cheers

Mmm well i dont know anyone at o2 who can offer that deal and we no longer are allowed to offer 12 months deals with off peak mins plus cant offer you a any new handset on 12 months contract!

just a thought ? Did they call you??? as you have to be careful, as alot of third party stores tend to ring around pretending to be o2 and offering you deals, to get you to sign up, you think your renewing with o2 but your not. If not and you rang them, have you still got the number you called??

You didnt give them your bank details did you??? or have to confirm theses to them?? just a bit worried as i know this has happens alot.

Yes we still offer 12mths old O2 contracts with low - medium priced handsets i.e Nokia 6300 Ericsson W890i etc.

We can add a little loyalty discount, dont expect fantastic deals though as remember the older 12mth contract do no come with the free unlimited bolt ons and they were always £5 more expensive. ie 200mins was £30 on the old 12mth plans.

You will get more room for manouver on 18mth and usually a miles better deal. You may be better buying the phone yourself Nokia 6300 is about £90 now and then go for say 200mins 400texts free O2-O2 calls push for £150 credit and if thee discount is possible you may end up with 15mths free out of the 18mths!

Also if you do go on an 18mth deal you get an 18mth warranty with all new phones and you can always upgrade again 30 days early from the end of the contract. Or if you are a Select customer 3 mths early!

I would go for the Bose mate sounddock £149 they do a sounddock version 2 which does charge the 3G iPhone but for the extra £70 I got the older one as the battery lasts easily a night.

or if Santas paying definitely get this bad boy!

Just been offered the FREE refurb iPhone at £35pm, 18month contract, only 12month warrenty on the phone though and no deal on Broadband with it? No negotiation on tariff, only £35 for 600mins and 500texts or £30 for 75mins and 200texts  surely they can offer a better deal somehow? Any idea if you can get the refurb iPhone on PAYG so I can carry on using my simplicity deal and add a web bolt on?

First call them back, tell them to you got an email or something! info below!

FREE Home Broadband for 12 Months from O2! (Existing Customers Only)

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/287395/free-home-broadband-for-12-months-f/

Tell them to throw in the boardband free cos its free anyways ;) and you want 600mins, 500texts, unlimited data, unlimited Wifi because your mate called in before and this is what he got, and your both on the same contract deal. This will cost u £35 month, as they cant knock any money off.

if you have no joy, keep ringing back, one of the advisors will give you a better deal!

Also yes you can buy a prepay phone but you cant buy the recon iphone from o2 or in the o2 shops!!! u can however use your o2 sim in prepay iphone. i did post the info before. i have a sim only deal £10 month (discounted) and im using my sim in my iphone.

the prepay 3G iPhone is actually a contract iPhone sold with a prepay sim card.

If you buy the 3G iphone dont put the prepay sim in simply use the sim eject tool and put your sim card in (say sim only card / your previous prepay sim card). Turn the iPhone on and it will ask you to connect to iTunes. Connect the phone to iTunes and enter your mobile phone number. It then asks you to enter your iTunes username and password and simply registers the iPhone to your iTunes account.

*** YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO PICK A TARIFF TO GO ON ***

It then comes on and your away with your iPhone on a sim only deal. So basically any O2 sim will work in the iPhone. Just check you have a 3G sim though as if your sim is a bit old you may have to call customer services and ask for a 3G sim otherwise you wont get the 3G functions. They send out a sim card free usually and you get to keep the same number.

Jailbreaking = Allows you to install cracked apps
Unlocking = Allows you to put in any network sim

So no you dont need to Jailbreak the phone at all to activate any O2 sim.

Not wanting to sound harsh but surely O2 have to realise there isn't a lot of money kicking about at the moment and I for one would not want to sign up for 18 months in this financial climate however cheap.

12 month deals have to make a comeback in the new year as surely me paying a guaranteed £300ish for 12 months is better than taking a chance on me staying on a SIM only for 12 months. I know the phones are a cost but surely they can't cost that much to source.

In my opinion if 3 can do a decent 12 month deal for £25 then surely the biggest operator in the UK can. Apologies for the rant again:rolleyes: .

I have had an horrendous 6 months in terms of bills - on a £35 12 month contract but bills have been coming up to £120-£140.

I lost my phone the other month, and wasnt able to claim under the insurance as the phone wasnt connected to an o2 sim at the time of claiming!! I work as cabin crew and am abroad alot and always used to use that phone when im away!! Lesson learnt.

I rang o2 and mentioned them that I am still 6 months within contract, how much would it be to upgrade early? First, she said no, but then she said you are a high spender so let me look at the account.

She came back and said Ive spoke to a manager and they have said I can upgrade now because of the amount of money I have spent on the account already! Didnt expect her to come back and say that - she did say its 6 months on the 6th December so she is going to call me back on the 6th, but hey, not a bad deal after all I guess!!
