  • Sarah Jane do you mind telling what tariff were you on previous to this retention offer. thanks in advance

I'm just wondering if your previous tariff and what phone you had - may contributed to your current deals- correct me If I'm mistaken

no-ones still not got any deals on the iPhone?!?

Ring in tomorrow 1st December, retention team have the 8gb 3gb Iphone its a recon (Brand new though gone back to Apple first - Apples reboxed them, reset them and new warranty good as new!).

Free phone, £35mth 600mins, 500texts, unlimited data, unlimited Wifi (BT Openzone and BT Cloud hotspots) visual voicemail free and cheaper international calls. BE QUICK!!!
  • Phoned to cancel, told the retentions dept wanted to downgrade to payg and was offered the following -

    18 month contract
    600 mins unlimited text
    1 bolt on
    free itemised billing
    No phone
£35 per month with £540 cash back which works out at £5 per month. Enough cashback to get a good phone from ebay!

    or was offered the C905
    400 mins
    unlimited text
    1 bolt on
18 month contract for £30 with £150 cashback which works out at £21 per month
  • I emailed them asking for the address to give my notice to cancel (no one answered the phones). Got a reply the next morning saying no need to write they'll use my email as the 30 days notice. Got a text a few days later with the cancelation date :)

A lot easier than i expected, its usually a battle to cancel these things. I've not even had a call from the retention teams either (6 days till end) they must think im a lost cause i usually manage to get the bill to around £6 a month.

It's a good thing that O2 finally seem to be offering the Iphone in retentions, but still it's not as good an offer as I would be hoping for:(.

I was on the £35pm tariff with 600 mins and 1000 texts, but had this for £30 for the first nine months I think (back when I was an amateur at negotiating an upgrade deal!) - originally had a SE k800i but this broke and after much complaining over the amount of time it took them to sort it out, had a SE k810i :)

Think i just got bored of waiting!! And at the moment i am paying £35/month for the phone and £20/month for broadband, so to get the broadband for free its kinda like getting the phone contract for £15....well, thats the way it works in my head :)
