Why not take the C905, sell it and use the cash to get an iPhone, these phones are making around £350 - £400 on ebay right now. So you'd make at least £300 profit.

If I were to sell it and make £300 profit then the contract would work out at £13.11 a month. If I take the contract without a phone it works out at £11.66 a month, and I don't use anywhere near 600mins/1000texts, let alone 1200mins/1000texts that came with the C905. It works out cheaper and less hassle to take the one without the phone and possibly but the iphone later down the line if I choose to.
  • Just tried to upgrade my other contract - currently 400 mins 200 texts and unlimited o2 to o2 calls sim only at £10.

They say I can have a phone (they mentioned W890i and 7610) on the same tarriff for £25... Seems a bit much.

I told them I was offered the same tariff for £15 with a phone a couple months back and she said she could say that but no anyway!

Niiiiiice. It's silly as the one where I've just upgraded to the c905 has been running for just over a year, whereas I've had this one for 5 years - which is as long as I could have seeing as I took it out when I turned 18! The bills used to be in excess of £150 every month, so just because I've spent less for a couple of months they completely cut the deal. Urgh! x

I've had the same problem. Orginally they offered me a phone at £15 a month for 200mins 200texts and I tried to get it for £10 a month like other people on here. They are now only offering me a new phone for £25 a month.
  • Thing is - in store you can have 200 mins and texts for £20! Not really sure what they're playing at - they only seem to be interested in top of the range phones or sim only.
  • The retentions chap couldn't understand why they could offer anything better and was really apologetic as I had been a good customer for the last 7 years.

He suggested waiting a month as the system is not offering you anything as you had a big discount last year (discount of £10 a month). He said in a month’s time the system should not take the discount into account.

He said if that doesn’t work try just before or after Christmas as they normally have offers then. I would use my PAC but I only get reception on O2 at my house.

My thoughts exactly, all they offered me was the iPhone or £10 simplicity sim and keep my current phone??? Im getting seriously miffed at o2, and their seeming lack of interest in customer satisfaction...

  • Just been into my local store to see what they could offer. They can only do the standard tarriffs, I told them I was paying £10 at the moment on sim o, and he said not to take out a contract because the phones I can have free are worth about £150 and it'd cost me £270 over the 18 months, grr! x

I didn't get a good deal either. It's my son's contract and he was stuck on wanting the Omnia so I got my pac code, but at the end of my contract was still undecided so have taken simplicity for now.

Can I go from simplicity, and get new contract with O2 through CPW or Dialaphone etc and port my number?
