Thanks for the info MrPH
interesting too.
A bit annoyed that they are so inflexible with the 12month contract deals, as I really dont want to be tied to a deal for that long, even with a decent phone! When you sit down and work out the total bill for the 18month, it's truely scary!
iPhone, 18month contract = £729 :A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. I just called and was offered the C905 for £49.99 with 1200mins, 1000 texts, unlimited data and the ability to keep my international caller bolt on for £27 a month.
OR
No phone, £150 credit on my account, 600mins, 1000 texts, unlimited data and international caller bolt on which worked out at £11.66 a month after the credit.
I think I may just take the deal without the phone as I'm not fussed by the c905 and could use the money saved to buy a phone later down the line. Is there any reason I couldn't buy a secondhand iphone 3G and use the sim in that?0 -
Well I rang retentions;
no way they would do the C905 on a 12 month contract, best they offered was standard mins and texts for £35 a month, and I'd have to pay £99. I'd be better of with an I-phone (not that I want one)
Is it worth me calling them once more before I move to Vodafone on the 12 month, 150 texts, 500 mins and phone for £39.99 via Dialaphone?
Help please, I really want the phone this week.
Thanks:beer:0 -
I found retentions absolutely appalling!
I rang spoke to a completely disinterested bloke who gave me a worse deal than the upgrade team. I pointed out that I would be taking 4 phones with me, 2 contracts and 2 payg phones and he just told me he would send me my pac code!! I will be requesting the others this week.
I am out of contract now and have recieved my PAC today so obvioulsy O2 are not bothered if I stay or go!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -

if i was you
i'd call up again
and hopefully somebody else will answer and then ask them for your pac code again
if they say we already gave it to you, say you lost it (but i doubt they'll ask)
and then if they ask why you want to leave, say the deals you were offered by upgrades were rubbish
should work0 -

I tried ringing again today but was told they were upgrading their system and to ring back tomorrow after 11:00. Hope to be able to negotiate a deal but am not optimistic this time.0 -

Why not take the C905, sell it and use the cash to get an iPhone, these phones are making around £350 - £400 on ebay right now. So you'd make at least £300 profit.Sigless0 -
Just rang o2 retentions to try and get a deal for the SE C905 and they were useless. I had a choice of paying £99 for the phone for the £35 tariff or £49.99 for the £45 tariff, no loyalty bonus what so ever and explained that i could get the phone for free at the CPW for £35.
I have requested my PAC code so it looks like i am going elsewhere with my business. I don't know if its worth ringing back again and hoping to speak to sum 1 else? :rolleyes:0 -
Just agreed to have the C905 with 1200 minutes, 1000 texts and unlimited texts for £27. Gotta pay £50 for the phone though, eh.0

Still not bad. Can you get full internet with the c905?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
