I haven't done this, had a look at the picture on the web site, but isn't clear, is it knitted or sewn on after?

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Hi y'all, MSE have edited my title so it doesn't make sense now. It is called Stitch and (sounds like) Bee-atch (rhymes with Witch)
Just found a knitting thread, hurray! I hate sewing up, so have a box of (at the last count) 4 alpaca jumpers that are in bits.
I like the knitting part, in front of radio or TV, just so therapeutic. I'm still a bit embarrassed about being a knitter though, been doing it since a teenager and took a degree in textiles (not much use to anyone, that)
Knitting is getting funky though, have a look here:

BTW, I can't afford new yarn (I avoid acrylic) - so get mine from eBay. Some lovely alpaca yarn from Peru, and lots of knitting-machine cones are on offer...these are fine for handknitting and work out really cheap.

it's the knitted loops i'm after doing where you wrap the wool around your fingers as well as the needle three times, and some how pull it all through to form loops, but mine is just ending up one big loose stitch. and it's driving me potty! (not loopy!!)

i think i might just knit him a bobby hat instead!
