No you can't but you can start a new contract with a new number if you don't mind that. You can also be referred so you would get £30 each plus quidco or some other cashback site if there are any good offers on
    Thanx

Today I phoned for a PAC and was told if I wanted it a fresh 30 day period would start. Is this right?

Yes it is true - yuo can give notice or request a PAC, not both.

You cannot PAC from 3 to 3 (or to a new contract on the same network with any provider so far as I am aware) - a workaround that I have used is to PAC to T-mobile or Virgin (they are always giving free sims away and are quick at processing!) and then when the number arrives, PAC to your provider of choiced (in this case 3). Clearly it takes 14 days (max 7 days each way) but can be worth it to get the best deals.

If the deals aren't any good to you and your contract expires, then use quidco and the refer a friend scheme on 3's website. This can save you around £60 or more depending on the tariff.

..and if anyone needs a 3 number for the refer a friend, pm me and you can use mine :D

I followed the excellent advice above and asked 3 to put me onto payg when my contract expired. They didn't offer me anything better than what was on the website.

I would have gone onto payg on Thursday 7th Feb. Yesterday, Monday 4th, I got a call from a nice Indian bloke. £10 a month for life (min 18 months) 500 mins, 100 texts, refurb N95. Good enough for me :)

And I'd only been with them a year. Got £415 worth of boots points for £360 worth of contract too... wish they still did that one icon9.gif

If you go on payg can you still start another new contract and get referred by someone so then have 1 payg and 1 contract?

I know you can have more than 1 contract but its the referral thing I'm wondering about as you would already be a customer I suppose.
    Thanx

Lady K - yes, you can have as many ctts/payg as you are willingf to keep paying for. If you have converted to payg, the SIM & number will be registered to you so you will need to use a different number to get the refer-a-friend bonus on the new ctt.

As I said earlier, if you or anyone else needs a 3 phone number to R-A-F, then pm me and you can use mine :D

I rang 3 today to ask if I could change my tariff the answer I got was as you got an N95 for £50 and we gave you a £12 discount on this you only pay £28 + £3 vat = £31 amonth and are on an 18 month contract which started on 5th december you have to keep that tariff for the life of the contract...and the other phone is £35 a month which they wouldn't move on that is due on 5th june so I may just try that with them and get another N95...:D:j

  • Hi

I cancelled my contract as the deal they were offering this time was the standard website deal for anyone, and the 30 days is up on Wednesday, so thought I would give them a ring to see if they would change it to PAYG on Wednesday. Easy? Nope! If I want to change it to PAYG I need to give another 30 days notice, starting from today.... they certainly don't want to keep their customers at all.

Latest offer - continuing on 100 mins/100 text - £16 per month on a 12 month contract, or £14 per month on an 18 month contract.

Not looking promising this year (and still not offered the 500 mins/100 texts and handset for £5 or £10!) - not sure I am willing to wait right until the end this time...

I think I might cancell the one coming up in june I can give them 30 days on 5th may then they will offer me a new phone I was gonna go for the N95 8gb one this time as I have the other N95 great home even if it's just for the camera...but I could buy a camera for the price of the contract...:confused:so I don't know as it would be cheaper for me to get sky talk unlimited 24/7 than another contract...I use my phone as I way of ringing people in between 8am - 6 pm and I use the camera side of it everything I don't need...so I think I may get another contract just for the expensive phoneN95 8 gb then once the contract is up get rid of them all and go pay as you go...:DI have one phone and my son has the other...:Dconfused...:confused:I am:rotfl:
