When you say its better to go through disconnections do you mean request your pac code is that the same thing as it means your leaving?
Contract runs out on around about 19th Feb and haven't requested pac code or done anything yet do you think its leaving it a bit late?
Currently on the 750 mins and 150 texts etc for £35 a month but did get 7 months half price last year although I did want better.
They never rang last year despite asking for pac code a month early, I had to ring them and that was the best offer I could get and I did try several times calling.
Prob want to stay on similar minutes or may consider dropping to 500 and some texts I just want a good deal and better than last years. Really don't want a slide phone though.
What are they likely to offer me?Thanx

3's retention offers change constantly, and seem to depend on many factors. Give your notice through the retentions dept., and wait for the offer. Sometimes it takes a while, even maybe up to the last couple of days of your notice period. At the end of the day, only you can decide if the deals you are offered suit you.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I suppose I've left it a bit late really as if I give my notice tomorrow it will go over my years contract which ends about 19th Feb so I'll already be in a full pay month out of contract before my notice ends which should then be about 4th March. So if anyone was gonna call me from retentions it would be just before 4th March then would it?
Is giving my notice the same thing as asking for pac code or do I have to do both?
I looked on thier site and it seems they have done away with the plans I'm on its the new mix and match thingsThanx

You can only give 30 days notice or request a PAC - by using the PAC, 7 days later your contract will end (assuming that you have fulfilled the minimum term, othewise you would still have to pay the remaining line rental). Request your PAC now and start the clock ticking (and gives you a chance to discuss any deals they may have). I have always found 3 to be good at refunding any line rental beyond the end of the contract in the month I have cancelled.

i too have had problems with 3 and their customer service-several arguements later i am still with them, now pay £15 a month (kept old phone) contract includes 300 anytime x network mins, 1000 texts and 50 video mins-origionally was offered better £10.15 a month with the downloads, 400 mins and 400 texts and no video mins, ( i don't need 1000 texts and i never use the video mins) when i called up to query they had no recolection with it, phone is 2 years old now and when my contract comes to an end (august) i doubt if i will stay with them if i don;t get a new phone and a good deal.
i will be checking this board in june/july to see what 3 are offering then0 -

Hello,
Just being a bit cheeky  but do you have been in the final month of your contract to ask for an offer?
I've been a 3 customer for about 4 years and never had the bottle to do anything like this! Or do I simply hold tight until June when my contract finishes?0 -
I have given my 30 days notice. The best they are offering is £15 for 500 minutes and 100 texts. I declined. When I gave my notice I said I wanted to convert to PAYG. Today I phoned for a PAC and was told if I wanted it a fresh 30 day period would start. Is this right?
Thanks0 -

Now you have a PAC, you must use it if you want to end your contract - otherwise your contract will just continue until you again give notice to cancel it.0 -
