I got the essential internet 600 12 month sim. Topcashback tracked after 2 days at £50.22.0
-
Got the following retention deal:
500 mins, AYCE data, and the usual overload of texts and 3-to-3 minutes: £11/month on a 24 month contract. (With a rubbish phone that I'll try and sell).
Any good?
The One Plan might be better value but I don't need 2000 mins or tethering, so am hoping I've made a good decision, especially considering 3 don't seem to be doing retention deals any more.0 -
Are Three offering any retention deals at all, I'm coming to the end of a sim only deal and I'm looking to get the £15pm AYCE data SIM (with tethering) would I be better off just getting the new SIM thru Quidco or TCB instead of trying for a retention deal from Three ?0

finished 2yr contract with 3 again, been trying to get a bigger discount on the 1 plan over the last week love a good haggle but nothing happening. worse to come have a £5 reoccurring discount and told that it would not carry over to new contract if upgrading phone.
had a cuppa looked at deals on web site, aiming for nokia 1020 3 want £69 upfront for phone £38 per month over 2yrs £981 on the one plan. Ouch no chance. have always aimed for £1 a day £365 a year spend with a new shiny phone.
been paying 3 average £31 per month for years on the 1 plan (with free phone). dropped my 2yr contract as its finished signed up to the one plan sim only 1 month contract £18 per month saving around £13 per month still able to tether. will just have to keep my old E7 Symbian mobile for now.
Also no Tcb or Quidco no voucher codes, more expensive than the store on the Dwp web site, the independent dealers are the same price as the phone stores. NOT a discount to be had on the web:(.
Guess this is the price you have to pay for progression, everything gets better & faster but it cost twice as much to own run maintain.0 -
three gave me a 600 mins, 1gb data and 5k texts for £9.99 a month. 12 months contract sim only.0

I'm in my last 30 days of a 24 month contract and called Three yesterday to move to pay as you go.
They offered 600 xnet minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB data for £9.90 per month on 12 months. They also offered to waive the last month (£17.60) of my current contract and start my new 12 month contract from when I sign up to the new one. So that gives a total yearly cost of £101.30 and a monthly cost of £8.43.
They also offered a similar deal, with less minutes etc. for £6.90.
I think I'm going to go for it.0 -
The deal they have offered you is exactly the same as the one on the website here:
http://store.three.co.uk/view/searchTariff?deviceType=SIM_ONLY&priceplan=PAY_MONTHLY
Look through your last 6 months bills on My3 and see how much you would have paid if you were on the 3-2-1 PAYG tariff instead and see which option would be cheaper on a per month basis.
You could also ask for your PAC and see what the second line retentions team offers you before deciding.0 -

I did not realise all they had done was offer me a standard deal. I will definitely request my PAC and try to negotiate a better deal. I'm also going to work out the PAYG cost and see which works out best.
Thanks.0 -
Been with three for a year on Sim only, asked for our pac's today and had 45 mins of hard sell trying to sell us a lg optimus 24 month contract for £7 per month, that was all that was on offer in terms of retention deals, they could not seem to grasp that we did not want a 24 month contract or a new phone, so it looks like we are heading for sim only with Tesco or giff gaffsanfly0
