They block it, even on payg without a ALL YOU CAN EAT data add-on, you paying 1p MB or a 500MB £5 dta add-on is eventually blocked with a message on the browser it is for mobile phones only.

Can you not set up a wifi hotspot on your mobile ? Or get a second mobile for use as a 'mifi' wifi device ? £40 from CPW cheapest Android and get a sim only One Plan for £18 or Ultimate 200 sim for £12.90 - both 30 day WITH all you can eat data

Are you sure it's blocked? :eek: Got the iPad cellular to avoid having to carry around a mifi.

Have 3 weeks left on contract - so I'm quite tempted to give it a shot anyway, get £25 quidco and try the Ultimate Internet SIM 200 plan. (maybe inserting sim into an iPhone first).

Trying to stay away from Giffgaff's unlimited data offer - but if it's true might have to jump ship.

It's the same on giff gaff as well. They'll block it too. As will Three.

They will pick up at some point what you are doing and block it could be day 1 or day 89.

I'd go quidco for almost two months free of yyour new contract and port in your number later

3G modems in ipads used to drain battery like hell anyway, best on wifi (unless that has changed ? anyone?).

I've been sim free for a while now and took advanatge of their £15 12 month contract. 2000 mins, 5000 texts and 3000 3 to 3 mins. It also comes with unlim data and tethering. If you can afford to buy your phone, this is the best way to go.
