Made a few calls and got nothing really good offered to me so on last call asked for pac and was offered One Plan on a sim only option for £14 so took iton a 12 month contract and will see if anything else comes along.
The S4 was gonna be £37, Htc One was £36 so standard prices.
A word of warning for anyone that gets offered the same deal. . . .
They tried to give me "The One Plan" which would include 1Gb of data, then 2Gb of data - if you are wanting to tether make sure the data allowance is truly unlimited.I'd like to teach the World to sing in perfect Harmony:j

Hi Raven
I opted for the same option yesterday a 12 month "One Plan" contract for £14, I was on an old legacy plan before.
I got my data upgraded to All You Can Eat as I was on 2GB on my previous package and wanted more data. I spent a fair few minutes making sure they would add AYCE data and I was assured that it was added and it will not be the standard 2GB offered on the 12 month One Plan. I was assured both by the customer sales team rep and his supervisor that AYCE data had been added. I was even told all calls are recorded so the offer could be verified.
I'll know on the 1st May when my new tariff goes live and I log into My3.
I tend to buy my handsets outright these days so very happy with the deal as long as they deliver the AYCE data. They tried to give me "The One Plan" which would include 1Gb of data, then 2Gb of data - if you are wanting to tether make sure the data allowance is truly unlimited.0 -

hi
i to got offered the one plan with 2gb data, but the agent told me it was a top secret that if you go over the allowance you will not get charged anything on top
i didnt take his word for it but had it confirmed for the manager that it will be AYCE data, apparently it will show as my allowance being 2gb but its not not
still don't feel comfortable with this but we will see0 -
Well had a nightmare trying to get my dad's contract cancelled but after 3 weeks its finally done!
Dad has three contracts in his name, one phone is mine, one my mums and the other his. Hes been a customer for the past 5 years.
Where I live now the signal is awful and spend most of the time on "No Service" - hence no point staying.
Bearing in mind its my phone and I set the security q's I assumed I could cancel - despite being able to answer all the questions they then refused to speak to me and said my dad had to cancel but he could go instore or phone to do so.
He decided to go instore to but they told him he had to phone. He then tried on numerous occasions (about 6pm) and conveniently the cancellations department was "shut", despite phonelines open until 9!
Finally yesterday he managed to get through at lunchtime, he said it was awful. He got passed to 3 different people, each of whom talked at him constantly telling why he should stay (despite the fact we are cancelling for lack of signal!)
Despite stating the above; after 45 mins he said he got offered the Samsung S3 for £6.50 p/m - I dont know the exact terms of the offer but looking on the 3 site the cheapest it seems to be on there is £23 p/m, so maybe it was a good deal?
Anyway he finally convinced them he wasn't going to stay and I actually got the PAC code this morning.
Ive now ordered my Iphone on 02 for £22 p/m on a good package and at least I know Ill get signal.
Im just waiting for them to call my number trying to convince me to stay again!0 -
Yep, having talked to the guys on the phone numerous times about this deal i'm pretty sure that the following is 100% correct.
The one plan with 2GB data (12 month) will allow you to go over your allowance. However, tethering is blocked.
From Sep 2013 (when 4G launches) Three will fully enforce the 2GB limit and tethering block on their systems.
This means that anyone signing up today will have 4/5 months of truly unlimited data but after september the deal will be capped at 2GB as it is advertised.0 -
Yes seems to be a bit of a pattern here, hence I spent so much time asking for the AYCE data to be confirmed. He also had to check with his manager who confirmed it.
I did press him a number of times about it showing as AYCE on MyThree to which he said yes it would. If its not there on 1st May will call them again or contact the support team via Twitter.hi

New to the forums but wanted to share my experience of trying to upgrade with Three.
Checked online and it said I could upgrade on the 2/6/13 so I rang yesterday to try my luck as my old phone was starting to crumble! First of all told me I would have to pay a £70 early upgrade fee, I asked what it was to cancel and they said £54 so obviously I said I will cancel! I then had a full on 20 minute debate with a very rude male who told me that cash back offers elsewhere dont get paid (even after telling him it did work when I joined Three via Quidco!!) he finally gave in and promised me my PAC code. This came through by text. He told me before I take up any cashback to await a call from outbound retentions, its been over 24hrs now and still no call. How long does this normally take? Thinking of going for a S4 with T-Mobile for £36 P/M on the Full Monty with £110 cashback and no fee for the handset. Three offered me the same but stated I had to pay the £49 fee for the phone :mad:0 -
The callback time can vary. It is harder and harder to get good retention deals. I made a conscious decision a while ago to separate my handset purchases from talk time. I'd wait a few days to see what they offer. Chances are they won't be able to match the T Mobile offer when you include the Quidco cashback.
It is also worth taking into account any considerations in relation to network coverage and the fact that Three are promising no price hike for 4G.0 -
Thanks for the reply, I would rather stay with three as the data speed and unlimited data really appeal to me so I dont mind losing out on the cash back.
I'm just hoping I get offered the HTC One or S4 for nothing and get offered the same package as I am on now (The one Plan) for around £34/5 a month. I currently play £36.25 due to Vat increase!!0
