Yes but good luck getting your PAC out of them as it can take quite some time... :)

If you want to transfer your number to another provider then you need a PAC code. When the code is used your contract is closed.

If you dont want to transfer your number then just call them up and ask to close the account. Dont say why or say anything other than you want to close your account or you will be on the phone forever.

Just got a call from Three offering me a free upgrade to an iPhone 5 (I currently have the 4s.) I pay £37.5 pm at the moment, which they said they'd knock down to £34 pm. Although my contract is up in November, they said this would start a new 24 month contract. With the contract ill get 1gb Internet, unlimited texts, & 300 mins pm. Wondered if anyone else had this & what your thoughts were?

If you pay £49 upfront (as a new customer/upgrade customer) you get 500 mins and unlimited data....

So i'd ask them to waive the £49 fee and put you on the 500 min plan. For an iPhone it can be considered cheap. But there are much better deals out there via third party's/with different phones/if you're a low user.

I see this thread has more proof that loyalty has gone out the window for this company. Thankfully i'm already on a good plan and will get 4G free of charge. But for those who want a lower price plan will have to look elsewhere. But still Three can't be beaten when it comes to 4G and unlimited data, hence the "no loyalty discount" stance.

I'm just coming to the end of my two year contract with three . A couple of phone calls and I got my PAC code. I have an iPhone 4 on the one plan paying £36 a month . They just offered me a deal for £11 a month lifetime on a 2year contract ? For that I get unlimited data 500 anytime minutes 5000texts and 2000 3 to 3 minutes and an Alcatel phone
  • hi all.

been a while since my last post.

in summary, and as warned by other members, 3 have cracked down on offering/negotiating good deals.

currently on 1 plan with a crappy old nokia £18pm (cant remember the model, sold it after i received it, 2 years ago).

i was after any decent phone deal on a 1 plan.

first call i received offered me sony experia c 1plan £26pm and they will give the phone to me free. they said "its the best phone on the market"

second call still the same.. this time i asked for sim only on 1 plan. not budging on the £25. they said you already on a discount. i said fine but last time i got a phone this time your telling me the sim only is 25!!!.. didnt take the conversation further.

i got till the end of the month to rinse out a deal but at this rate they are stead fast. They mentioned 1 plan is the best plan on the market and uniquly offers unlimited tethered interest, thats always the ace card and they know it.

quick q. as i now have the pac code, if i dont transfer it/use it by 30th april, will it continue to go back to normal with 3 on a rolling contract.
(worst comes to worst, rather stick with 3 on the existing contract. better the devil you know ehy hah

If you dont use your PAC then its a 30 day rolling contract at your current monthly payment.
