OK, I got my first call back from Three, and it's just what I expected, I ended up just taking it. I got "a very top of the range high spec"..........HTC Desire C- this offer was just for me, exclusively :rotfl::

    300 x minutes
    2000 3 to 3
    5000 texts
    AYCE data
    £12 month inc VAT

Wanted the one plan for around £15 a month, but I will prob be able to tether anyway with a tethering app.

Not bad. I'm guessing they offered the 500 minute plan for £15pm right? That's what i was told it would be this month. I was lucky in that they were doing the Desire C on the 500 min plan for £11pm last month so it seems the guy i spoke to wasn't lying when he said it'd be £15pm now.

Use the clockwork mod tether app ;)

Actually no, the guy said based on my usage the past 2 years he'd give me the above but with only 250mb of data for £9 - saying I never used more than that any month in the last 2 years, but I told him i'd rather have AYCE data, so it was £12. He never mentioned the £15 plan at all... TBH 3s plans are so much better than any other network, and they know it. I think you're right, get as big a customer base as they can then they'll sell the company. If the price plans were making them much money then I don't see why others wouldn't be matching them.

I've been going to root my desire, but wanted to wait till I got a replacement in case I brick it, phone should come tomorrow so I can do it then.
  • How's this for a Retention deal? I took my PAC code on 9 march and three have phone me a few times but I was not sure what I wanted to do. I then last week bought a samsung galaxy s3 from amazeon warehouse deaks for £230 unlocked which I thought was a good deal and condition of phone is grade B.Again last week three called and were offering me a lifetime deal as they called it with a sim only 500 mins and 2000 texts and I think 500 mb data but not sure all for £7. I told them that it sounded like a old deal but to call me back as I was driving, they did call back but I missed the call. I then never heard from them till today, the customer service agent told me that my PAC code needed to be used before the 9 April and asked what I wanted to do. He then said he had even a better offer for me with a htc desire c and 300 mins 5000 texts and 250 gb data all for £11 per month and I replied I was busy and to call back later. He then said ok I can do even better but hold the line. His offer was htc desire c with .300 mins 5000 texts and 500 mb data instead of 250 all for £9 per month........I thought this sounds good even though I didn't need the htc desire but thought I could sell it for least £100....so took deal and am happy for now!:rotfl:

Amazon are selling them sim free brand new for £112, doubt you (or me!) will get £100 for it locked to 3.

Eventually, 3 offered me a Nexus 32Gb with 5gb broadband for £23.18pm and no upfront cost. I accepted this on condition that it was delivered last Wednesday as I was going away. It has still not arrived so I have told them to stuff it. This is taking ages. Now they say I have to speak to their legal people. As far as I am concerned, they broke the contract so I am free to go elsewhere.

In the last month of my contract with 3, with an iphone 4 on the One Plan at £36 a month.
After a battle on the phone eventually got through to the guy who gave me my PAC code. As I was putting down the phone he blurted out that they would give me an free iphone 5 on the One Plan, 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, unlimited data @ £37 a month .....an overall saving of £25 on the initial standard upgrade offer for an iPhone 5 of £36 a month + £49 for the phone, and £84 better than the same plan on the website.
Said no thanks and will see what happens.

I've only gone back a few pages to read, so not sure if what I ask will have been covered further back...I have two phones in my name, been with 3 for 5 years, the contracts ended at the start of February this year. I've had 4 phonecalls to 3 trying and trying to get the Samsung S3 for a decent price (£25 or under per month), but they're not budging, they just keep offering me different phones - so far I've been offered the Sony Xperia T and iphone 4. But then looking on the 3 website what they're offering me is no different to what they're offering on their site! is that the norm?? if so, what is the point in being a loyal customer? if I keep calling back do you think i'll eventually get what I want? or should I cancel the contracts and wait for them to contact me? any advice would be greatly appreciated!
