3 Retention Deals

What a farce. When my tablet hadn`t arrived after a week, I cancelled. They told me that there was a possibility if fraudulent activity on some accounts, so they never sent it. It had not occurred to them to tell me this. It was promised within 3 working days, but I said forget it.
Now they have sent me a package in which to return the tablet I never got.0 -
A really good retention deal if you dont want a new phone is to ask them to put you on to the Essential Internet 600 12 month SIM only deal. Ask for a £3.00 a month recurring discount and the 2000 Three to Three mins retention add on.
With this deal you get 600 mins a month, 2000 mins to other Three customers, 1 GB of data, 5000 texts and the cost works out at only £9.90 a month! The £3.00 discount stays on until you move off this package.
If you are a high data user, you can have an unlimited data add on and this is reduced to only £3.00 a month on this deal, (not tethering) so you could get this, with unlimited data for £12.90 a month. which is also good...0 -
Id say (if you can afford it) get out of the trap of the high monthly line rental with the free phone, and lock into a low ongoing price with unlimited data that will last you a long, long time. Just buy the iPhone 5 with Apple (unlocked and thus better resale value when you want to upgrade), sell your current iphone 4s on ebay and go with a simple sim only deal on Three as a retention offer though customer retentions. Get mobile insurance on your bank account perhaps, then if you loose your phone, you get a new one in the future. You only pay Three for a SIM only deal. See my post today about that deal.0

A good deal, but they were doing this for new customers as well about half a month ago. They've just kept it going for existing customers like the retention guy told me they would. But that's the only sim deal they can currently discount.
But good deal for a sim only.0 -
Hello,
Im due for an upgrade in December but I am getting really really fed up of cold calls, dispite constantly telling them not to call me and have changed my contact preferences in my account settings so that they dont call me, yet they still call.
I do'nt really want to leave three but the calls are getting annoying as it is persistant, at least 2 calls a day until I answer and tell them i'm not interested in what normally is mobile broadband they are offering.
What kind of deal do you think I could get from them if I threaten to leave them now telling them that the constant cold calls are !!!!ing me off.
I have a Sony Ericson Arc S at the moment, pay around £23 a month for 200 mins, 1gb data and unlimited texts and want a Samsung Galaxy Note with same Tarrif if not better (not fussed aboiut paying a little more if I have to)
i'm really not expecting to get anywhere with so long left on the contract but is it worth a try?Sealed pot challenge 8 - £0.62+(?) / £100 (0.62%)0 -
Hi all
Has anyone got a retention deal on a 30 day rolling sim only contract on the one plan at £25 a month?
If so how long was you with them an what price did you get it for?0 -

I got it for £12.50pm over a year ago. Called up to negotiate and they wouldn't budge from £25pm....
Ring them up and ask for PAC. They'll ring you back and then that's when you negotiate with them. But i've heard they can't discount the one plan/sim only anymore so i don't know if they can do anything. Worth a try though.0 -

Got to be honest I am not currently with them but was thinking of being with them one month then seeing if I can get a good deal0 -
For the past 4-5 years I've managed to get great deals from Three at renewal but this year it just wasn't possible.
Did some overtime which has paid for the extra cost for the Galaxy S4 One Plan at £37 a month which I've just ordered through gritted teeth. I think the last time I paid that amount for a contract was with my first phone in 1998!
Pretty annoying that the exact contract I want isn't available so I'm paying for tons of minutes and texts that I won't use but I guess thats the name of the game.
Anyway just to pass on that the Black Mist colour is out of stock at Three (to date they still have White ones left) and I'm going to have to wait until week 1 or 2 in May for a black one.
Also something which I wasn't aware of was prior to ordering it that they also charge £4.99 for delivery...0 -
well thats the what used to be annual but now 18mthly ( and soon to be biannual ) black hole that is 3 retentions is over.
40 mins to get the pac code. I am on a legacy tarrif with no data. They first offer me a samsung galaxy packet - no i hadnt heard of it either. Its a great phone! An android phone! With a great screen and fast processor and great camera!, best selling camera this year!
Oh dear - screen 2.8inches, android 2.3, 2 megapixel camera, released over a year ago. A best selling camera that no one has heard of - yeh right. that was the best deal and phone they were giving me - the next one up was the htc c with a measly 100 minutes, 2000 texts and 250 mb.
so next to the pac dept. what phone do you want yadayadaya.... so it turns out they can give me a new htc c with 300 min, 5000 texts and 250 mb for £9/mth. Just one small snag - i have to take a new contract ( no problem ) with a NEW phone number. I would not be allowed to keep my existing one, once i get the new number i can change it to anything i want. anything except my old number. if i want my number i have to pay £16 a month.
nah - give me the pac. just a minute sir. just another minute sir..... who will you be going to -tesco i say. more minutes, more data for a tenner.
then he gives me a 5 minute speech on how tesco will only give me a refurbished phone and their network is rubbish and and and.... wonder if tesco would be interested in the lies that are being spread about them?
supposedly, this guy was the last person from 3 i will speak to. the old retentions team that would call me back when the pac is issued doesnt exist anymore. oh dear, how sad, never mind
so finally after 40 minutes i am free to move to where i want to.
at my price range - about £15/mth. 3 are now over priced. i dont need unlimited data, i dont need unlimited minutes. just a half decent phone with a value for money plan.2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0
