Pretending doesnt cut it as they have heard it all before and are wise to that.

If you ask for your PAC and dont use it then your contract continues as before so no harm in asking for it and having a chat with the people who can actually offer some deals.
    just call again today....

I keep on asking for a PAC code to switch network and the best deal they can give me is just normal 6.9pound plan with extra 2000 3to3 mins...

the staff says if i insist to get a PAC code, my account will be deactivated in 2 hours (not 30 days notice) and some 3 staff will call me tmr and give me the PAC code....

i dont want my current plan cancelled so i say i will think about the offer 3 gives me and no changes made to my 3 plan.:(

They are talking rubbish to scare you. They have to send you the PAC code in 2 hours and your account only gets closed if you use it within 30 days.

After that you have to request another one and the process starts again.

It took me 45 minutes to get my PAC but you have to be persistent otherwise they will try all sorts of things.

hi everyone. i am new here. nice to meet you all!! these 2 days I called Three twice for retention deals and 'pretend' to leave 3 to see if they can provide me some cheap sim only plans to me. unfortunately they didnt. they just offer me 13quid/month galaxy ace plan (the one you all say it's a standard retention deal) and the 6.90quid/month sim only plan which can be seen in the website (+2000 3to3 mins for me though). i try today again and they fail to give me better deals. I read the last few pages and seems asking for a pac code and wait for the 2nd level retention offer will be good?
my current plan (12month contract, ended yesterday) is as follows:
    75mins, 3500 text, 2GB data, 5000 3-to-3 mins for 5.5quid/month
which i think it's quite cheap already.(I get this with retention team on Oct 2011) Do any of you think I can get even better after I request for PAC code? i actually just want to get more mins, like 200-300mins with a bit lower price, say 4quid?
the quidco/TCB cashback to new customers is just about 2.5-3.5quid/month after cashback so I think they can give what i want as above?! anyway I will try again tmr to ask for a PAC.

Your current plan is already veryveryvery cheap. I don't see how much more they can give you unless you are looking for a new phone

Yeah. All the deals they've offered me have been 24 mth contracts.

  • Ok, I just took these deals:

For my main account (the one I use) I got the Samsung Galaxy S2 (black) on "Ultimate Internet 1000" which is 1000 x-net mins, 5000 texts, All-you-can-eat data plus 5000 3-3 mins, plus a signal booster for £11 per month.

For my secondary line (for my mum, who never goes over mins and therefore doesn't make them much money!) they couldn't do any deals quite as good as mine, but I got the Samsung Galaxy Ace (purple) on "Ultimate Internet 500" which is 500 x-net mins, 5000 texts, All-you-can-eat data plus 2000 3-3 mins for £13 per month.

He said he could do it for £10 per month sim only, or could do it with 300 mins instead and the Galaxy Europa for £10 per month. I figured the Ace is a far better phone for the extra £3 per month.

Quite happy with these. Should receive them Monday.

Has anyone currently under a loyalty discounted contract given the 30 days notice or asked for a pac code? Did it work? When I called up asking for mine they said I would lose all loyalty discount.

My contract has expired When i took the contract out i was give HTC Desire with the one plan (2000 mins 5000 texts unlimted data etc) and £10 free international calls.

I am wondering weather to just keep this and buy a phone. or does anyone have any better ideas?

after a long talk with them on the subject of "loyalty discount."they said that i would loose them then offered me the same deal as everyone else truth is "loyalty discounts" don't exist its just a ploy to make you sign for another contract

Hi folks, just looking for a little advice.

I am no longer tied to my current contract, as I have had my current phone and deal for over 2 years. I have very low usage and therefore have a very low monthly cost (£6 if I don't go over) which I am very happy with and don't want to change.

I would however, like to upgrade my HTC desire. I've had it for over 2 years now, and it's going a bit dodgy. My question is, have I got ANY chance of getting a phone upgrade with 3, whilst staying on my current plan charges, or would I be better just buying a new handset if I want a new phone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou!
