Has anyone currently under a loyalty discounted contract given the 30 days notice or asked for a pac code? Did it work? When I called up asking for mine they said I would lose all loyalty discount.
My contract has expired When i took the contract out i was give HTC Desire with the one plan (2000 mins 5000 texts unlimted data etc) and £10 free international calls.
I am wondering weather to just keep this and buy a phone. or does anyone have any better ideas?0 -
When I called up to see what deals they had on offer they said no more loyalty discount and offered me new customer deals only so I asked for my PAC (which they eventually gave after 45 mins of looking for the best offer, etc).
The day after I got my PAC the second level team called and offered me a 'liftetime' (until they conveniently forget about it again) loyalty discount of £7 a month.0 -
Hi KTF what did you go for with the £7 loyalty discount?0
-
They offer two plans as detailed here a few pages back.
Samsung Galaxy Europa + 500 mix & match minutes/txts and 500MB data for £8 (24 months) including the discount.
As above but with AYCE data for £10(ish) a month I think.
The phone is worth about £40 - £45 is you were to sell it as its pretty poor.
I was quite happy with my Desire so didnt ask about other plans, etc. so I dont know if they discount off those as well but the easy way to find out is ask for your PAC and wait for the call as you wont get any deals out of the 1st level call centre people.
The retentions deal they offer may have changed as its been a few months since I got mine so if they offer you anything else it would be interesting to know.0 -
not a retention deal, but a regular contract renewal offer:
Samsung galaxy ace on Ultimate Internet 500.- All-you-can-eat data
- 500 minutes
- 5,000 texts
- 24 months

hi everyone. i am new here. nice to meet you all!! these 2 days I called Three twice for retention deals and 'pretend' to leave 3 to see if they can provide me some cheap sim only plans to me. unfortunately they didnt. they just offer me 13quid/month galaxy ace plan (the one you all say it's a standard retention deal) and the 6.90quid/month sim only plan which can be seen in the website (+2000 3to3 mins for me though). i try today again and they fail to give me better deals. I read the last few pages and seems asking for a pac code and wait for the 2nd level retention offer will be good?
my current plan (12month contract, ended yesterday) is as follows:
75mins, 3500 text, 2GB data, 5000 3-to-3 mins for 5.5quid/month
which i think it's quite cheap already.(I get this with retention team on Oct 2011) Do any of you think I can get even better after I request for PAC code? i actually just want to get more mins, like 200-300mins with a bit lower price, say 4quid?
the quidco/TCB cashback to new customers is just about 2.5-3.5quid/month after cashback so I think they can give what i want as above?! anyway I will try again tmr to ask for a PAC.0 -
Pretending doesnt cut it as they have heard it all before and are wise to that.
If you ask for your PAC and dont use it then your contract continues as before so no harm in asking for it and having a chat with the people who can actually offer some deals.0 -
I just rang with every intention of getting my PAC and running off to Orange (my partner is with them so the magic number would be useful) for a Galaxy S3 offer (£28.50 for the panther 36 plan via buymobilephones.net or somesuch) but the guy was throwing deals at me (all of which I declined) but he then offered me the Galaxy S2 with 1000 x-net mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data/downloads for £11 per month which I thought was pretty good. He told me to think about it for a few days... I'm tempted... I do use a lot of data... I could BUY a brand new S3 with the money saved and still have some change plus an S2! Thinking now that I should ring back and take it...'Still dealing with my debt, but I'll get there. Keep smiling.'0

How much was the S2 per month?0
