3 Retention Deals

Still on the phone to 3 after over an hour.
So far I've been offered a selection of deals from their website, the standard retentions £13 Galaxy Ace deal, and just now they've offered:
£11/month
500 mins
5000 texts
3Gb data (no tethering)
12 month contract but 'flexible' and allows upgrades at any point (not entirely sure what they mean by this).
No new phone obviously
Not a bad deal for some perhaps and I've not seen it before so thought I should drop it in here.
EDIT: finally it's over at just over 75 minutes. I'm going on to PAYG in 30 days and I'll be taking out a SIM-only contract via Quidco.
Interestingly the guy said I shouldn't have a problem bringing the number directly over onto the new contract without going via another network.0 -
Hello,
My contract ends on 11 October (htc wildfire) and I would like to switch to a monthly rolling sim only for the time being.
Can someone advise me when I can call them to sort this out? Do I have to wait until the contract expires?
Kind thanks,
Stephen0 -
You can call up 30 days before your end date so when the end date arrives you switch to your new contract.0

Does anybody know if 3 offers a free unlock at the end of a contract?

No, you still have to pay then to get it unlocked but there are other ways of unlocking the phones for less.0

Contract is coming to an end with three later this month. So today i decided to phone up and request my pac code whilst also giving my 30 days notice. the three representative asked why i was leaving if there was any better deals i was getting elsewhere. I suggested to him that I was interested in an iphone 5.
I told him that i had been in contact with orange and that they were willing to give me a free iphone 5 on their £46 month tariff but because i work in the public sector that would mean 25% of the monthly tariff. Oranges tariff is unlimited minutes, texts and 3GB of data. He tried to put me off but i stuck to my guns, he then came back with an offer that if i trade in my current phone (9300 3g curve) they would also credit my account with £15 meaning i would only have to pay £4 for the iphone 5 handset on their £34 month tariff which includes 500mins 5000texts and all you can eat data... what do people think of this should i accept?
p.s not even sure if orange is still doing that public sector discount but he didnt no that lol0 -
Your phone must be worth more than that so I would be dubious about trading it in for only £15.0
-
no my phone is worth about £60 trade in and then they are adding an extra £15 credit on top of that to cover the handet cost which i think is 79 for three so in total i have to pay £4 for the handset0

It's not a bad deal, cheaper than the Orange one over 24 months even with the 25% discount.0
