i did point out that mobiles.co.uk were part of carphone warehouse group, and part of my cashback came through a work discount site (and i work for a massive US telecoms company).
They were spouting any old rubbish. Apparently my current htc isn't an internet phone, and the galaxy s3 would use up 750mb of internet allowance in a couple of days!

A side note, the vodafone new customer number from way back in this post no longer offers new customer deals. They told me you needed to 'earn loyalty' with them before you get a good deal.

There seems to be less stuff out there for money saving people. I blame Apple and stupid people. The amount of people who i hear taking out expensive Iphone contracts, then paying early upgrade fees astonishes me. One of these customers are probably worth 3 or 4 more savy customers.

Phoned today to get my pac, was offered a galaxy s2 on the 500mins, ultd texts and data plan for £10 per month. Deal also included one of there home boxes which boosts the signal since i moaned mine was rubbish in the house. Could also get the HTC OneX for £15 a month on the one plan. Was on a new 24month deal though. I have an iphone4 with them and apart from the weak signal in my flat i dont have any gripes about 3. Tempted to take the one x deal and sell it

Are you accusing me or the 3 rep at making up the offer? I can only tell you what the rep told me. I gain nothing from coming on here and writing a load Of bull. I take it that 3 has never offered you a good retention deal

they offered me an average deal 5 days ago.
i find it hard to believe they would offer you a cheaper deal with an s2 than you would even get on a sim only contract. that's also your first post.

unless of course you're running up huge bills, but i'm just cynical.

My bill is the usual £36 a month tariff and rarely go over it by a couple of pounds . To be honest i dont want to stay with 3 but if the deal the rep offered is legit then its worth thinking about. Reading another post on the forum about a man getting conned into the s2 rather than the s3 has set alarm bells ringing tho. What was your average deal you were offered if you dont mind me asking.

they gave me the sim300 on a rolling contract for £10 but all the handset deals were just standard off the website.

if they realyy did offer you that galaxy s2 deal (which i don't believe) you should have tore their arm off.

If im home from work quick enough tonight then i will phone them up and see if i get offered the same deal. Not keen on being stuck with a s2 for the next 2 years though.
