  • i'd tear their arm off with that.
I've supposedly got a £7 loyalty discount and free internet for life on my account. Three rang me back yesterday, day after giving me my pac code and could offer me £8 with the cheapest galaxy that costs only £50 on PAYG, then wanted well over £20 when i asked about any s2 deal.

Three's retention system does not work as before where you could get the deal as you went to cancel your contract, and I have had good deals like that.

So last week went in to store to get an upgrade but they seemed more expensive then online, saw good deal with tmobile, and so tried to cancel instore but told no can't do that had to call up.

Called up and spoke to C.S. for upgrade again too expensive, so canceled contract and asked for PAC, came within 30min! was very disapointed as I have been with Three for 7 years.

Next day got call from retention dept. and was offered 2 choiced but both with the samsung galxay europa, £8 for 600 min 500 text and can add 1GB net for £3 at a later date?

will they still give it at £3 later?

For £3 you can add on the AYCE data plan via their my3 webpage so I cant see it being a problem if you wanted to add it later on.

Well i phoned up 3 again this afternoon, To be totally fobbed off by a rep. The deal the lady rep offered me a couple of days back was a total load of tosh and he couldnt even come close to it. He actually put me on hold for 5 minutes to talk to his manager then came back and offered me the same deal as before putting me on hold.

I wasnt keen on staying with 3 because of signal problems but if the lady reps offer was genuine i would have stayed. The bloke wouldnt take no for an answer when i told him i didnt want any of the deals or a contract and i wanted to just be payg. Eventually lost the head with him after 35minutes and he reluctantly text me my pac code. If all there reps have that attitude to customers then its Good riddance 3.

i called back today for the pac code.
they asked me why i wanted to leave, i told them i wasn't happy with the price. the agent said they had good offers to keep customers, i told him i was only offered what was on the website, which i wasn't happy with. he said they had extra deals that were not on the website - he then proceeded to offer me what was on the website.....

it took 25 minutes and i had to ask 9 times for the pac code....

I was about begging for my pac by the end of the call. I eventually had to just keep on saying to the rep "can i have my pac please" progressively getting louder and more agressive. Got a call from retentions 2 hours later trying to tempt me into staying by offering me a 2 year old samsung europa haha
  • sounds like there are a couple of us at same place leaving then. Day 1 = europa for £8pm. Day 2 = galaxy ace offered for £10pm.

I had a text message survey about my recent call to three - when i requested pac code. Gave them v low marks and when they asked for other comments explained I was happy to stay if they offered me a competitive deal, but if they didn't want my business they should let me leave hassle free - rather than try to pressure/lie to me about incompetitive deals as this would make me want to leave regardless.

See what else they offer. Realised i am on holiday when my 30 day notice expires, so will be taking out my new deal and porting number week before. If they leave it too late to offer any propers deals (if at all) they they'll be lost. O2 lost me to Three in the first place by offering me some ridiculously good deal after my number porting went through, was a ridiculously good deal but not enough to compensate me for returning and getting out of three contract.

I'm with 3 and want to try for good retention deal.
Once they issue the pac code, does that confirm the end of the contract, or do I have to use the pac code to activate cancellation?

You have to use the PAC code to terminate the contract. It expires after 30 days so if you dont use it then nothing happens.

If you are in the last 30 days and you ask for your pac, they will most likely call you with retention offers that the pac code providers won't have access to within a week of asking for the code under the ruse of checking you got your code OK, etc, etc.
