Just offered 300mins 2000 texts and 500mb internet w/ galaxy europa for £8/month

Is this the best I'll get or should I wait? Would prefer a decent phone, more internet for about £25?

Has anyone managed any good upgrades lately on one of the old Direct Video Talk & Text 500 tariff's lately? I pay £5.53 per month for 300 mins / 150 texts/ 25 video & pic messages / + free 2gb data bolt on. In the past they have always managed to do some sort of deal which has surprised me at such a low monthly amount. Also can you keep this tariff & loyalty discount if upgrading online? (my contract is up in June)

Yeah I can't see it either sorry.

Although that one is the same as what I saw with the up front cost spread over the contract term instead.

I'm pretty sure they won't normally. They said to me their new policy was not to call people as customers had reported that it was annoying :p

You can speak to them by calling to upgrade or calling to cancel. Or you can upgrade yourself online.

The deals offered by the upgrade department are identical to those available on their website generally so you need to ask to disconnect if you're going to call.

I'll have to start telling them how annoying it is when they ring every few weeks aking if we want more contracts, on top of the 2 we have, both in partners name. Oh and the ipad offers lol

I'm getting nowhere with them, given 30 days notice as I'm fed up of hour long calls to get offered nothing better than new customers

    Same here.

I signed up to a new 3 contract with https://www.buymobilephones.net/

I told 3 to switch my sim to PAYG at the end of my contract (30 days notice), then I got 3 to transfer the PAYG number to the new Buymobilephones contract phone.

I'm on the exact same contract/discount which was due for renewal in January. They wouldn't offer me anything that wasn't available on the website.

Previously they've given me a discount on the handset price as I don't mind paying for it with such a low monthly cost but they wouldn't even do that this time.

They've always offered something in the past, the free 2gb internet etc but nothing this time round. All the operators know you cannot get a better priced contract than that (and they are right) so its difficult to bargain with them.

I haven't tried the PAC code route yet though.

Thanks for replying - at least I will have low expectations now then! Did you keep the free 2gb after your contract ran out, I wasn't sure if this was for life like the rest
  • Nothing offered. Obtained my pac code, have to phone again to get my phone unlocked now.
Really disappointed with the "spectactular amazing discounted deals" that I've been offered. All were more expensive than the prices on their website.
