Jackpot! I'm now the proud new owner of a new HTC one for £26 a month. Asking for the PAC code was the winner.

They asked why I was leaving, I quoted details of the deal I was leaving to take and after a bit of faffing about data allowances, my deal has been matched :)

    Congrats!

Hope you like the phone! If you encounter any problems go to XDA developers :D

If you don't know yet, here are some quick tips.

    - Use chrome browser
    - Disable 'fastboot' in the settings

    What deal did you quote?
  • Just received an email from three about bolting on All you can eat data for £3!

For anyone who hasn't upgraded, it may be a viable option to carry on your current tariff and include the extra £3.

    What deal did you quote?

A panther deal on Orange I found through omio
600 minutes, unlimited texts 1GB data.

The Orange deal had £60 to pay towards the phone but I just left that bit out and my handset is free. I'm happy as that offsets my lost cashback. I've saved a lot of hassle trying to avoid double paying line rental as well and my phone is coming tomorrow.

I'm sure people have had better deals but having felt like I was hitting my head off a wall a few days ago, this feels like a result :j

They dont do that any more. You have to ring them up within 30 days before your contract end date or you can logon to your My3 account and select 'Upgrade' to see whats on offer within the same time period.

I'm pretty sure they won't normally. They said to me their new policy was not to call people as customers had reported that it was annoying :p

You can speak to them by calling to upgrade or calling to cancel. Or you can upgrade yourself online.

The deals offered by the upgrade department are identical to those available on their website generally so you need to ask to disconnect if you're going to call.

Having a go at quoting the orange deal, not too bothered if they decline as it's not really a bluff - there are some great deals online!

I wonder if you'd be so kind as to post a link to this deal?
