Did you already have a loyalty bonus/discount being applied to your account but they are now removing them when it comes to a renewal?

yes a loyalty bonus/discount was applied to my existing tariff.

I understand that they want customers to upgrade to current tariffs but going from £15/month to something in the region of £36 - £38 is a rather large change as the sales manager said that no loyalty bonus/discount will be applied.

I was aiming for the HTC One X on the one plan in the region of £25/£30 but he wouldn't budge this time round.

Never actually thought that this would happen but this time it seems like it could be cheaper to continue as a sim only plan and buy the handset instead.

I'm well jealous of @1sthand :rotfl:

Considering you already have a discount on, and on such a good deal, I don;t think there is any lower to go!

I posted my deal so that if anyone is also looking for similar to mine, then at least £25/month on the one deal is a where to aim for. As for you, there is no reason why they cannot give you the same deal as me, or even £30/month.

I think you should try again.
  • Awww I called again to see what i could get but no luck.

    Same story, no loyalty discounts.
Best offer for the htc one x + one plan was the standard £38/month

I offered to upgrade if they could drop the price to £30/month, Edward would not budge.

Did you select upgrades or I am thinking about leaving when you called them up?

    That sucks kenny.

I remember selecting option 2 instead of option 1(upgrade) when I called though.

I think option 2 is for contract questions and if thinking of leaving.

Well, if you cannot get a deal on the one X, it might be good to wait.
See what Samsung brings. I only got this phone with the good deal. Otherwise I would have waited.

Without LTE, the one X is not really future proof.

    Hi all

might be better using thrid party sites

T-mobile the full monty 36 a month free HTC one X handset same as three's one plan which is 38 got three down to 32 on the one plan

Three are doing cash backs at qudco 110 one plan
  • day 3!

Called cancellations/retention again, Mahesh offered me the exclusive deal of £38/month for the one x on the one plan.

I'm gonna think about it for the next couple of hours for when Mahesh calls back, looks like its true about Three no longer offering loyalty discounts, especially on this package deal.

May have to bite the bullet and take up this standard plan -_-

    Hi All

Best deal Ive found is with affordable mobiles if your willing to pay a upfront cost for the HTC one X on the one plan

White upfront cost 190 24months at 25 a month total cost 790 a 122 saving against their advertised deal at 38 a month for 2 years

I'll be getting my pac code and rejoining :rotfl::rotfl:works out cheaper

This "exclusive" deal is on their website available for new customer. There is also a cashback of £110 from Topcashback / Quidco - so effectively you are losing out £110 if you were to take this "exclusive" deal from the retention team.
