Got a call from three my contract has finished in April 2011.

They offered my Iphone 4 "refreshed" as he put it £30 a month £59 upfront payment.

    Anyone got anything better?

id say thats a pretty bad offer with it being refreshed and it will only come with a 12month warrenty.

my pac runs out next week and im seriously getting !!!!!! with 3 now. as said in previous post the way they speak to you is like your stupid.

im after galaxy s2 on the one plan quidco give £130 cash back making it roughly £30 per month which im not mad about but would pay if three would match it, but they wont and trying to tell them you can get it cheaper they say your lieing or you cant trust the cash back site.

i like the one plan for the unlimited data as i would like to tether with the s2 but i dont want to pay over the odds per month especially for 2 years so i have found a deal with t-mobile for £25 a month with 600mins 500 tx and 3gb data, a big cut in mins but i tended to find i was using my phone more on the one plan because i had so many mins to use.

now three do have good deals but thier cs is appauling and i think this is going to make me move elsewhere as i cant be bothered with the back chat you get of them constantly talking over you and trying to hard sell you phones you dont want.

as for the scottish cs i aint got a clue about that department, i rang main switch board and asked for the scottish based call centre only to be told they have no uk based cs.

im intending to pay my last bill this weekend then ringing cs again fob them of asking if that was the final bill in the hope they may offer a good contract if not then its over to t-mobile i will go and plenty of time to use my pac.

had a quick look on there site and you pay £69 upfront for a new phone and £35 a month for the one plan.

it seems that sometimes they try and sell you plans worse than you can get on the site.

Sorry forgot to mention, the package for refreshed Iphone 4 is One Plan on 24 month contract. Iphone 4 £30 a month £59 upfront.

    Anyone got a better offer?

3 retentions are a bunch of lying a***holes and I've ended up cancelling. Every "offer" they had to provide was available online. They even had the gall to say that the prices they were giving me were one-offs not available elsewhere. My advice? Do as I did and make sure you are in front of a computer when they call and check the prices for the phones they are offering while they are on the phone. You'll find their special offers are not so special at all.

Same thing with me. Kept offering me a HTC Desire for £30 which was a 'special deal', but I kept pointing out it was available on their website. At which point he got really nasty telling me that their prices are already cheap, why should I expect anything better...

I also asked the operator "what is three doing for me as a long-served valued customer?" He replied according to a survey "our existing customers are demanding the same deals for new customers (friends etc)" that is the reason for website offering same deals as customer retention. I said that I have not heard about any survey to complete, so when was it actioned, he was a bit stumped when i said that.

I believe they are full of SH*T! just trying blag a contract.

thats what they said to me too for the desire s, said i got a discount but when i checked online it was the same price, the best retention offer i got was for the desire hd at £27 a month on the one plan but i told them i wasnt after that phone if they could offer the same discount on the galaxy s2 id take it but they couldnt, its a shame 3 have gone this bad because they started of so well with me.

They didn't offer me that! I would have actually been tempted as it's £35 on their website and a good phone. They told me it was £35. So what have you done in the end?

not done anything yet still holding out, they offered me that about 2 week ago but have since said the phone is now out of stock even tho the deal still shows on the system. before the s2 came out i wanted the desire hd but was only offered the plans new customers can get so didnt accept, why they can give a discount on the desire hd on the one plan but not the s2 both being the same tarrif and price is beyond me. although one cs rep said the phone is in high demand (s2) so thats why they may not be budging. i was hoping when the htc sensation came out a decent s2 retention contract would follow but no hope either.

OK, been with three (with a short break) since close to start, and did a number of the cashback deals (never failed!) to get 1.99 line rental and even had a few years for free... :A
For last few years I've been on £5 a month for 500 minutes and 100 text.
A few years ago they issued me with a nice shiny INQ handset for free and I loved it- even managed to get it to do Skype for audio AND MSN simultaneously for messaging the person listening- I mean that is impressive for a free phone! :T

Well when they turned Skype off (Micro$oft buy and it goes dead... hmm) they offered me a Nokia C2-01 for free (worth £60 on PAYG) if I extended contract by 6 months. The one they sent me didn't work with planet three!!
Some arguments, long phonecalls later and a failed delivery or two I sent it back in via Royal Mail (paid for by Three).

Anyway today after an hour I've extended my contract by 6 months and PAID just £50 for a HTC Wildfire (currently on PAYG for £100 slashed from £130).
I *think* that's a score- the discount is more than I'll be paying them in the 6 months!
Trying to save money to err... spend it...
