You should always choose the option for 'I am thinking of leaving' rather than 'upgrades' to get the best deals out of them.

I did this twice, and both times I was waiting in the "queue" for well over 15mins.. too long for my likings lol

I've been with 3 for around 8 years, rang up today for any offers as my contract is at an end, the best they offered me was a HTC Wildfire 300 min, 5000tx, 500mb internet for £20 p/m . Im currently on 500 mix n match u/l internet and at the time recieved a shiny new SE W995, this was 18 months ago and i pay £15 p/m.
When I refused and requested a PAC he said he does'nt want me to have my PAC and asked me to go and explore the market, again I refused, this went on for 15 minutes by which time i had had enough, he then asked me 'why do you want to leave?' I replied 'I did'nt 'till i talked to you, you have done my head in' he hung up, 5 minutes later I recieved my PAC code.
Wonder if i'll get a call back - me thinks not!

PAC Code runs out on 24th June and still no call back! Is it worth ringing them?

    Not exactly Retentions, but..

I currently have an old Talk and Text 600 tariff deal running where I get 500 mins, 3100 texts and 2048mb data for £24. I phoned 3 and asked if I could replicate the deal with a new phone - I would then have 2 identical contracts on the go, (my original one is used by my daughter).

I was offered a new Samsung Galaxy S2 with the Text 500 plan (500/5000/1gb) PLUS 2000 3-to-3 mins for £27.

Tried to haggle down a bit more, but no joy! I've actually signed up for a refurb Galaxy S on the One Plan (£25) with the incentive of £100 Amazon voucher, through uSwitch.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

if your pac code runs out today i doubt youll be able to use it. im in the same boat, i have a week left ill my pac runs out so dont know what to do for the best, all i ask of three is a decent discount especially when new customers can get tarrifs cheaper through quidco.

to be honest threes deals are pretty good but for people like ourselves who have been with three for years no discount is unacceptable imo.

three are looking at trying to gain alot of customers with there cheap plans but i can see them also loosing alot of current customer.

i would like to know how you got on with the offers, i think three now ignore people asking for pac codes knowing many use it as a front and probably will only do something if you ask for it to be cancelled not for a pac code.

as for using quidco twice im not to sure, i was thinking of taking the risk as i am looking at the same plan as you, but trying to explain that to 3 that i can get it cheaper at £30 ppm they just dont believe you as id prefer the dicount to the contract not the money back.

good luck..... im starting to think i may jump ship as it seems three are going to get new customers more than keeping old customer.

    1) 500mins, 2000 txt, 2000 3to3 free iPhone4 16gb - £30
    2) 500mins, 3000 3to3, 500mb - £8
    3) The One Plan for £15, choice of Nokia C2-01 or SE Cedar, and free 4gb memory card

    all 24months

I chose option 3) since I already have a htc desire and just want a better plan
Yeah, and they were calling them "lifetime" deals weren't they? Not entirely sure I understand if that is a benefit! Anyway I chose that option (3) too in a weak moment but called up next day to cancel (14 days cooling off).

Whilst 3's is a full (free) Skypephone the Cedar does cost just £80 direct from SE.

The £15 One Plan could be purchased for £15pm on a PAYG SIM last time I looked so after second thoughts I decided to not to lock myself in to a 24 month contract just to receive a handset I wouldn't use and which I could only sell for a few tenners.

I am waiting for a cheaper deal on an SII to materialise. Quidco cashback on an SII / One Plan was £130 last time I looked but still not cheap enough to jump.

Having heard nothing i bit the bullet and rang them, only to be offered the same plans that were on the web-site, i was it takes 2 days for PAC codes to be activated, in other words you have upto two days before it expires to transfer. Looks like i'm going to have to request another code, I would just jump ship myself but I need to keep the number as i'm jobseeking and my number is on all my CV's which have been sent out.

Got a call from three my contract has finished in April 2011.

They offered my Iphone 4 "refreshed" as he put it £30 a month £59 upfront payment.

    Anyone got anything better?

I've been with 3 for 6 years now. Currently have the Samsung Jet on the One Plan for £25 per month. I end up spending more as I'm making lots of 0845 calls at the min. They keep therefore telling me that paying £30 a month for a new phone will be the same as what i'm paying now! Errr, no it won't!

Contract due to expire in one month. They are only offering me what's on their website. The last guy I spoke to was really rude, practically shouting at me. I was asking why a loyal customer doesn't get any special discounts and he started yelling at me that the handsets are very expensive, 'don't you know that'?

I wanted to cancel really as I hate the way they speak to me when I ring up. I really want a Samsung Galaxy S or Galaxy S II. Any advice?
