Whilst 3's is a full (free) Skypephone the Cedar does cost just £80 direct from SE.
The £15 One Plan could be purchased for £15pm on a PAYG SIM last time I looked so after second thoughts I decided to not to lock myself in to a 24 month contract just to receive a handset I wouldn't use and which I could only sell for a few tenners.
I am waiting for a cheaper deal on an SII to materialise. Quidco cashback on an SII / One Plan was £130 last time I looked but still not cheap enough to jump.
where did you see the one plan for £15 on PAYG? all i see is 300mins, 3000txt all you can eat data for £15..?0 -
Anyone got anything recently?0

Has anyone been offered any good sim only deals recently? Anything less than £10?0
-
my workmates just got 600 min, 3000 texts and 3gb data for £10 per month, sim only for 12 month. was out of contract and just wanted sim only.
quoted the 500min 5000text and 500mb tesco deal, then got offered the above deal.0 -
I've been with 3 for around 8 years, rang up today for any offers as my contract is at an end, the best they offered me was a HTC Wildfire 300 min, 5000tx, 500mb internet for £20 p/m . Im currently on 500 mix n match u/l internet and at the time recieved a shiny new SE W995, this was 18 months ago and i pay £15 p/m.
When I refused and requested a PAC he said he does'nt want me to have my PAC and asked me to go and explore the market, again I refused, this went on for 15 minutes by which time i had had enough, he then asked me 'why do you want to leave?' I replied 'I did'nt 'till i talked to you, you have done my head in' he hung up, 5 minutes later I recieved my PAC code.
Wonder if i'll get a call back - me thinks not!
My PAC code ran out, so i rang up today asking for another, my SE 995 is on its last legs! they offered me Samsung Galaxy Ace 500 min u/l Txt 1gb internet for £18, i took it as i was already paying similar or above cause i was going over my allowance. Not a top end phone but i've read some decent reviews so it should be ok for me.0 -
Has anybody tried getting Three retentions to match Vodafone's europe data roaming deals? Their £2 a day for 25Mb is very tempting.0

Has anyone managed to get a deal, let alone a good retention deal, on an HTC Desire S or similar? (reasonable usage; I was on 1100mins and was looking at similar / their 'one plan').
My contract is up so I called up to ask for my PAC code and they, after about an hour, offered me no deals better than their website, so got my PAC code. Been with them for a good few years, guy kept on saying how they wanted to keep me, but wouldn't offer me a deal better than their website, just permutations that weren't there, and were of no use to me.
*Update* Was called back about 2H later and was offered their 'one plan' sim only for £15/month on a 12month contract, along with plenty of flattery about how great a customer I was never having missed a bill payment, etc. I decided to take it.0 -
I phoned with just under three months of my contract to go. They wouldn't offer me any cheap SIM-only deals, but did offer handset deals.
Initially they offered me a HTC Wildfire S, 900 minutes or texts, 2000 3-to-3 minutes and 1GB internet for £16.79-a-month. He told me the handset was worth £200 to £250, but I corrected him that it is £149.99 on their website!! I declined this offer.
He then offered me a Samsung Galaxy Mini, 900 minutes or texts, 2000 3-to-3 minutes and 1GB internet for £12.79-a-month, and let me off the last two months of my old contract so I decided to go with that. I am happy with my San Francisco phone however, so the Samsung one will go onto an auction site when I get it next week! It costs £89.99 on the Three website to buy, so hopefully I can get £70 for it.0 -
My contract is due to expire in a month and a half. thought id call just to see what the offers are at this point with no intention of taking a deal until my last month (pretending i'm leaving etc). I either want an s2 deal or sim only:
offer 1 - not really a deal:
samsung s2
one plan £35pm 24months
+free tethering (normally £10 pm apparently)
+2yr warranty (probably standard !?)
not much better than for new customers. Not sure about the tethering deal. Surely i can h4ck this for free!? maybe the web is less restricted? Ill do some googling
offer 2 - worse!
one plan sim only £25pm (thought the £15 deal may be on the cards but no)
BTW To buy the S2 direct from three - £500 today
offer 3 - flex plan - great deal imo - i'm probably an idiot for saying no.
£7.54pm 500mins 100texts 2gb 2000 3-3 voice mins
12month flex contract meaning i can upgrade at any point
I was close to taking the last offer knowing i can always buy the s2, whats app sorts out my texts these days so 100 is ok.
But i figure there will be different offers when i ask for my pac and give notice to leave and this may still be on the table. Obviously my upgrade deals wont be great when i'm at the start of a new 12month flex deal.
The guy said he was the retention team etc.... Felt a little sorry for him when he said take the flex offer then i can cancel in my 14 cooling off period (i could not be arsed). I think that was his way to try and get a little commission.0 -
I have been with 3 for two years.... I found a deal for the galaxy s2, and asked if they could price match on the retention line, £25 - but they said call back next week in 7 days when I will be within the 38 days of ending my contract, and they can give me the samsung galaxy s2 for £17pm. This seems a bit cheap to me, what are the chances that I'll call back next week and actually get this deal? Are they ok for keeping promises?Top Cash Back: £882
Boots Card: £160
