How long have you got left on your current contract to get that deal?? Thats what type of deal I want to get but my contract does not expire until mid Feb

I was on Mix/Match 1100, 18m contact and the offer was 1.5 month before the contract expires. The old tariff was £21 pcm and my average bill was just around £23 pcm. Have been a customer on and off for around 3 years (on different accounts) and this is the first time for an upgrade.

I called up and asked what was my upgrade option - and told them I fancy a Desire HD and want to spend no more than my average spend. They asked me some questions on my usage etc and then offered me the deal straight away. I agreed the deal and called back a few times just to confirm if the plan was genuine (Three is infamous of promising you one thing and give you something totally different) and indeed it was.

They mentioned that there is a £7 loyalty discount on top of the £30 retention tariff. I was of course pleasantly surprise that they were able to do a 18m deal.

Had the phone delivered - unbranded and unlocked. Happy day!

You were very lucky to get a good deal, I would like this phone before xmas but as my contract does not expire until feb I don't think they will offer any good deals to me. I found this deal

I might phone 3 and see of they can better there deal of £27 I currently have been offered.

Three have contacted me in light of my recent signal troubles which in fairness aren't really bad.

i'm currently on E71 Internet Texter 200 min unlt 3to3, texts and 2gb internet with £5.00 'loyalty' off per month. 18month deal

Three's opening offer is a bit of a strange one - Same price plan with HTC wildfire but price is £22 per month with £7.00 loyalty to bring price back down to £15.00 - 18 month deal.

Price plan meets my needs so what do you guys think? hang on for another month and a bit and see what happens or snap their hand off? I'm very tempted.

Wanted a decent android handset as back up

I would go and play with the phone first. The screen on the Wildfire is disappointing compared to the Desire and its hard to find apps that can be installed due to the screen resolution.

Its worth paying the extra for the Desire imo.

Agreed to the following retention deal:

    Free HTC Desire HD
    18m contract
    The One Plan (2000mins x-net / 5000mins 3-3 / 5000 text / 1GB data)
    £23 per month

Cracking deal & I love that phone, but the Battery life is purported to be absolutely abysmal, with some saying that it doesn't even last a day, even with minimal use - I'd be interested to hear your experience?

I am waiting for Three to issue me with my PAC - thinking I may have to chase them, as I think I want a Nokia N8! Three couldn't offer me a good deal on an N8, but would be interested to hear of anyone else got a good deal on one?
  • I did receive an offer on the Nokia N8-

    Free N8
    The One Plan
    24m
    £25pm

I also received the following offers on the one plan-

    HTC Desire
    £25pm

    X10 Mini
    £15pm

    Desire HD
    £30

    etc.

Also offered HTC Hero (presumably a refurb) ,texter 900, £11pm! 18m

I accepted the deal on the Desire but have now cancelled. I have decided that I want the Hero offer and they have said they will get the same guy to call me back. Hopefully they will reoffer otherwise I don't know what I will decide to do.

I have been offered and have accepted Blackberry Bold. 500 minutes, 5000 texts, 5000 3 to 3 minutes Blackberry internet and messenger service plus an extra 1gb ofinternet as I use my sim in a broadband dongle sometimes.

Free handset, 24 months £25 a month this will come down to £20if I decide I don't need the blackberry service.

Currently on £20 a month 200 minutes, unlimited texts and internet at £20 a month - been a customer for 17 months.

Nope they couldn't do anything, even though they were incredibly pushy and wanted me to spend £155 on the phone. They reluctantly txt me my PAC, so I guess I will be toddling off to T-Mobile shortly!!!!

Does anyone know if they still try to contact you with a better deal even after giving you a PAC??

    Have just been offered:

    HTC Wildfire 300 mins/ texts plan, 5000 3-2-3 mins, 2gb internet for £17pm.

Nokia 5230 or Zylo as above for £13pm.

12 month SIM only as above with additional push email (not Blackberry) for £10pm.

I'm currently on a £15pm contract and coming to an end after 18 months.

I really want a Blackberry Torch so not sure what to do at the mo.

I phoned them after I had my PAC just to see what they would charge me for staying on a 30 day rolling contract as I was undecided about who to switch to. The guy then started asking what I really wanted and we went back to negotiating - he could give me different phones with the same minutes and texts for less per month - was offered Nokia and Sony smartphones or the BB Curve but I really wanted the Blackberry Bold. They have assured me that my signal in the house will improve as well - if not it is going straight back on Thursday!
