Not a hope getting the Desire HD for £13 a month imo. You could try for a Desire or a Desire refurb if you dont want to pay that much more.0

Yeah, I thought £13 for that would be very optimistic anyway!
Bar the HD ability are there any other differences between them?
Any ideas on how much a standard Desire (preferably new) on my contract would be, I may need 1GB internet though as the pages take up more data as they'd be standard web pages and not mobile type ones which I use on my Nokia 6120.

You can find a comparison here:

and here:

Plus plenty more on Google.
You should be able to get them down to around <£20 a month for a Desire. I have one with 500MB a month and have not gone over the allowance yet as I mainly use WI-FI when available.0 -

2 gig internet on a rolling one month contract sim only deal for £5 per month and the same again with a HTC Wildfire free for £10 per month 24 month contract.
That SIM only is a cracking deal.0 -
I took the £19 a month Desire.
If it has the new Froyo update, it'll do most things the HD does, and won't look like a big bar of Cadburys chocolate in my pocket (like the HD does).0 -
Just renewed my contract:
HTC Desire
Internet Talker 500:
500 minutes or texts / month
500Mb internet
£15 / month
Was also offered the same deal with the HTC wildfire for £10/month
I have an existing £10/month loyalty discount which they agreed to maintain (above prices include the discount).
Seems the best time to try for good deals is just before a new generation of phones comes out and they're trying to shift the older models. I tried to get a similar deal to the above on a different contract with a higher monthly spend 3-4 months ago and they would not budge from the prices on the website....0 -
Hi,
At month 17 of an 18 month contract with Three. I currently have an E71 linked upto Exchange for emails. I was just looking at the £6 Tesco sim deal as my signal at times is poor with three, but if I can get a Wildfire at £10 amonth I may stay!.
Is the Wildfire a good move from the E71 which I love. Its the best phone I have owned for reliability, battery life and functions
Is its best to do it within 1 month of my contract ending?
Thanks

I'd be looking for something similar to what you've just got, can I ask what phone, contract and price plan you were on before this upgrade.
Thanks0 -
I really don't understand why three couldn't offer me a good retension deal as you guys got. The best offer they could give me was Wildfire for £15 a month (300 minutes) at a 24 months contract. They even told me that according to the law it is illegal to sell mobile phone contract for under 24 months without charging for the mobile phone set. I did ask them which law were they talkng about and they said it’s the latest Ofcom regulation. I couldn't find such thing from the Ofcom website though.
My previous contract was Nokia £71, £20 per month for 18 months, 200 minutes with unlimited texts & internet.
I have spoken to a few people from the retension team, including the team leader, but no one has ever mentioned the loyalty discount.
What‘s the reason behind all this? Really puzzled. Is it because I'm not a big user?0 -
Hi I got offered this today, my contract expires on the 15th Feb so have a few months left yet but I'm getting a bit impatient.
These phones were all on the
500 xnet mins
5000 txts
5000 3to3 calls
1gb Internet
The phones they offered were....
HTC desire for £22
HTC desire HD for £27
Samsung Galaxy £25
I tried my hardest to quote other deals I had found but they did not seem to want to know I had found deals for £20 a month on 3rd party websites like omio as they could not compare with them.
My limit is really £20 a month as I'm trying my hardest to save money, just hope I have a better deal on the table soon!!0
