Also be very careful when getting the facts about your new tariff, I was told that they would 'let me have' the plan I'm on now (Internet Texter £20) for £10 per month with 2gb data instead of 1gb.
Girl then said you can upgrade your handset at a 'later date' I specifically asked if it was a rolling contract to which she replied yes. I nearly signed up there and then but have had my fingers burned in the past.
Anyhoo I called back later that night spoke to a gentleman who advised that it was actually a 12 month contract.
They will say anything to get you signed up - always ask for the deal in writing first.
Anyone else found that they have 2gb internet anyway? I did this morning and they haven't fiddled with my contract??
My SIM £10 contract was set up with 2GB of internet, when I should of got 1GB of internet. It IS a rolling contract. Not going to complain0 -
Well its renewal time again and I have been reading the comments on here over the last few days to try and find out whats what before todays phonecall. It all seems a lot more complicated, I expect due to the price of the phones. 18mts ago I got the nokia6700 on a 10 a month (500min 100 texts) which was greet. This time however I am attracted by the HTC desire HD which on a different third party website with different provider I have seen advertised at £25.00 a month with free phone. (I am not prepared to pay for the phone).
What hasnt changed much in 18 months is the call centre. I requested my PAC code, a kind of bluff as I do want to stop with three but am prepared to move if the deal suits. Upon being asked why I explained I was not happy with a couple of issues and the fact I can get the Desire cheaper elsewhere. The main thing I was unhappy about is I took insurance last year and damaged my phone. I then had to pay the excess on top of the monthly premiums only to be told I would be given a refurbished phone instead of my new one. I can't complain too much about it as I am sure it would have been in t+c if I would have been bothered to read them fully but I do think that they could have made it clearer at the time. If I would have known I would have got a refurbished one I would never have taken Insurance at £7.00 a month.
Anyway, got the usual speil about how they wanted to keep me as I had been with them years and after talking for around half an hour, the best I got offered was
Free HTC Desire HD
900 mix n match minutes or txts
2000 3-3 calls
500mb internet
24 months
£30.00.
I insisted on my PAC code again at this point which she gave me. So now I will wait and see if I get the phone call, but if not my days with three will be finished.0 -

Hello, I had an upgrade offer from 3 yesterday;
Free HTC Desire 18 month contract
100mins/texts
5000 3to3
500MB
100picturemails
£19 a month
I wanted more Xnetwork mins/texts and at least 1GB, which they would up for £23 a month.
Called again later looking to take this deal, and they offered this;
Free HTC Desire HD 24 month contract
100mins/texts
5000 3to3
500MB
£24 a month
To increase calls/texts to 300 or internet 1GB would be £28 a month.0 -

this is better deal.
unfortunatly, i did ring upgrades AND retentions, both giving sort of the same deal for the BB TORCH.
i think he said 32 or 34£ per month for 2yrs for 100 mix and match and 2gb of internet including the bb email service, and 3000 3-3 calls
hardly a deal compared to my current contract, will have to wait another few months n try again0 -
Got offered
500 mins
100 texts
3000 3-3 mins
2 gig internet on a rolling one month contract sim only deal for £5 per month and the same again with a HTC Wildfire free for £10 per month 24 month contract.0 -
Trying again as I ran out of time earlier. Had to say I'd think about their offer just so I could get back to work.
Hhah. He's checking the deal I've told him I got online... Obviously don;t believe me its £15 per month cheaper than them0 -
Hi,
I currently pay £13 a month for:
750 mins
150 texts (could do with about 50 more)
£5 Download (hardly ever use)
50 Picture Texts
50 Video Mins (never use)
Unlimited Internet - Although I think it's 500mb which is fine for the phone I have as the web pages are simplified
I got a Nokia 6120 on my last upgrade over a year ago.
What can I expect if I was to phone up and say I was thinking of leaving in terms of phones, packages etc.
I quite like the look of the HTC Desire HD but obviously don't want to pay much more than I'm already on really.
Any info would be great.
Thanks0 -
