I'm in the same boat, the best upgrades offered me was a HTC Wildfire with 500 minutes for £19 a month which was only £1 cheaper than the web offers, I said no thanks and asked for my PAC and was given it without any further attempt to haggle.
I'll give them a couple of weeks to try and keep me, then look for something else.
Was offered this with 5000 3to3 mins plus 500MB Data for £15 after turning down £16 but have taken my pac and quite happy to start shifting my contracts elsewhere but will leave it foe a week to see if they can improve.
Should say I would have accepted the above deal at £15 if they had given me 1 GB of Data.

Re-signed today, not exactly what i wanted but i guess a good deal in the circumstances (and they certainly weren't prepared to budge an inch further!)
2 identical contracts (one for me one for mrs)
BB Bold
Free Handset
£20 p/m +(£5 BB Add on) = £25p/m
500 xnet mins
5000 texts
5000 3-3 mins
3GB Internet
2 year warranty
24 month term
I would have liked to have got them down to 18 months or £20p/m but this clearly wasn't going to happen
In fairness a similar (although inferior) deal on their website is £149 for the handset and £30p/m including BB Add On and thats with much less internet
the deal i have basically equates to unlimited everything based on the way/amount i use my phone
i consider this battle a draw lol0 -
Their opening gambit to me yesterday was an iPhone 4 32gb for £150 or 16gb for £30. Unfortunately, they also wanted me to pay an extra £5 a month on my bill without any increase in the allowances. This would've meant paying £270 or £150, respectively, for the phone, which is more expensive than they are on Three's website on the £30 tariff (£189 and £99). I was also told that the £99 price is for new cutsomers only and that the normal price for upgrades for the 16gb is £129. I politely declined their offer.
Coincidentally (I don't think), my BIS got switched off at 7 o'clock last night. When I rang they said it would take "6 or 7 hours" to sort out. It has now been 13 hours and still isn't back on. I feel another phone call coming on...If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

It gets better...
I rang the call centre this morning to sort it out. They went through restoring all the settings and told me BIS should be working again: it wasn't. I decided to go to a 3Store and ask them to sort it.
I went through the story with the girl in the shop and she was very helpful. She rang up someone and - guess what? - they'd put through the upgrade for the iPhone 4! Despite the fact the delivery time on a 16gb iPhone is 3-4 weeks, this immediately cancelled my Blackberry add-on. They then cancelled the upgrade (presumably realising their error) but couldn't reinstate my BIS as it wouldn't take effect until the 2nd of November (the start of my next billing cycle). Apparently, they are working on a fix but this will take "24-48 hours". I feel an(other) email to the Executive Office coming on.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

that is funny, i phoned up for a upgrade last week, and the woman started reeling of some phones, i said i would like an iphone, expecting a deal on a 3gs, the first thing she said was yes we can give u 16gb iphone 4 for free, no haggling or anything was needed, i certainly would not have upgraded to the iphone if i needed to pay, and i am not exactly a heavy user either, never go over my monthly allowancesTake every day as it comes!!0 -

Can I ask how much your contract is? Or how much the contract you were offered for the iPhone was, if that's different?
I'm due an upgrade, I was going to try for an HTC Desire but if people are getting iPhones...0 -

old contract is
currently got nokia n97
300 mins
1000 texts
£5 downloads
£30 per month
new contract will be
iphone 4
500 mins
texts i cant remember but more than i have mow
1gb internet
150 picture messages
£35 per month
could have got same deal above for £30 per month, if i paid £99 up front for iphone, but decided against as it only saved me £11 over the course of the term of the contract, i should say i am currently running a 2nd contract that the other half uses, but that is only on a hero for £25 per month, and again it never goes over the monthly allowance, plus the woman said after a year(next april), can ring up and get the line rental decreased to £12.50 for remainder of contract, i was phoning up with the intention of cancelling first contract, but before i even got to mention that, they offered me this deal, so took it, would never pay for the phone though.Take every day as it comes!!0
