Not sure if the whole Premier League things is just them flattering to deceive. But have been with them for 2 years, and my bills average £300-£400 p/m,
Holy cow! Over £300/month!
I was on their £20/month Texter plan for 18 months and upgraded a couple of weeks ago. I got the Galaxy S for £15/month, 18 months, but only 200 mins, unltd text and 3000 3-3 minutes, plus 2GB data.
I would have though with your expenditure they would have given you phone at about £10 month...0 -
I contacted 3 today to discuss my upgrade. I currently have.......
Nokia E63
£15pm Texter Plan
Unlimited Text (3,600)
2,000 3 to 3 inclusive voice calls
75 mins voice inclusive calls
1GB
18 Month contract
I was hoping to be able to get the E72 because of the GPS for maximum £18 per month however was prepared to stay as l am as l really don't like the idea of 24 month contracts plus l really don't want to increase my monthly costs too much. I have x3 mobile contracts with 3 as well as a internet dongle, hence why not really wanting to increase the costs.
Anyway in the end l agreed to what they call a 'sim only' upgrade basically my current package remains as it is, except they have made it 2GB internet, it remains as a 12 month contract and at anytime during the next 12 months l can have a usual upgrade. They have reduced the tarriff to £10pm.
As l rarely use my inclusives, yes that includes the 75 minutes voice calls, this deal suits me as it helps to reduce my monthly outgoings. I also look at it that should my phone break, lost etc at least l can just get a new one via the usual upgrade.0 -
1) Starting deal £32 a month, 24 months, 500 minutes, unlimited internet, texts and 3 to 3 = £768
2) Asked for PAC code, and passed on to another department. Offered £25 a month for 24 months for the same deal as 1) = £600
3) Asked for PAC code. Offered £20 a month for 18 month contract plus £160 up front cost. For: 200 minutes, 2gb internet, 2 year warranty, unlimited internet, texts and 3 to 3 = £520 (£28.88 a month)
4) Asked for PAC code. Offered same deal as 3) for £15 a month for 18 month contract plus £160 up front. = £430 (£23.88 a month)
Accepted number 4. Took one hour of haggling, with me continuously quoting the £10 a month Tesco deal and possibility of buying the handset sim free. In retrospect it may have been possible to insist on my PAC code, and wait for them to phone back and haggle further on the up front cost, down to around £100 or lower…0 -
Should have mentioned that I was previously on an 18 month, £20 internet texter E71 deal0

managed to get a iphone 4 for free, on a £35 month tarriff, of 500 mins, 5000 texts, 1gb internet, 150 pic messages, could have got tariff down to £30 if i paid £99 up front, but as being as that only saved me £11 went for the free option instead, got to wait till november for phone though, as apparantly they are waiting for new supplies which should not have the signal drop problem, anybody else been told thisTake every day as it comes!!0

Called them last night to enquire about a Bold 9700 and an Iphone. They state they no longer sell the iphone 3gs??? (despite it being on their site) and the Iphone 4 they wanted pretty much the prices quoted on their site.
For the Bold they would do it at £25 p/m for the 500/5000 deal on their site, but just waiver the £75 up front handset cost.
I told them that there were much better deals out there (i.e. see above in this thread) and requested my PAC....he immediately said another department will call tomorrow with some options only they can offer!
Let the games beginlol

Well , you officially cannot get an Iphone on the cheap (even a 3gs lol)
Got a call just now, got offered some good deals. Quoted £27pm on BB Torch for 500min/text with no cost for phone, that was prob the best deal. £27 sim free for 3000/5000 was also quite good i thought (but far more than i need)
I wanted 500 min/5000 text combo on a Bold and it seems they wont budge on that at the moment wiht the best deal offered at £25 p/m with no cost for phone (which currently on website is £249)
Got offered either lower contract lengths or lower line rental, but not both
Have asked for my PAC which i've got but told them to call me back if/when they can do me a deal.....waits anxiously :eek:0
