My contract ends in 3 weeks so I have been holding off for a "deal". I have trawled the web to look at other 3 deals so I have evidence when I call them. I spoke with 3 last night for about 30 minutes. They were not offering any deals on the HTC Wildfire - only quoting their web site deals and advising that they had no access to better deals at the present time. E2Save.com do the Wildfire on 3 for £15 per month for a upfront £39.99 payment for the phone on the Internet Talker 300. 3 would not entertain this deal. I have told them that I was not happy with the deals being offered so I would think about it.(he was polite and said it was my preogative!) I am hoping that they will ring back or I will barter again in a few days. I think it really does depend upon what your usage and particular cross network usage...as they cannot make much profit on a £15-20 contract these days. I have been with over 2 contract terms (as with my DOH) and we have never been able to strike a deal.

well got my pac code from 3 the just over a week ago the best i have been offered so far is the HTC Hero with 100 mins unlimited txt and net for £12 a month

been using the t-mobile offer to try and beat them down with which is the LG pop/Tocco lite/Nokia C5 for free with 100 mins and unlimited texts for £10 a month
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
  • 100 minutes/texts ,Unlimited Internet, 100 MMS
    Desire Free
    For £19 per months

Careful with this, three are doing 100 picture mails with most of their deals, these are not the same as MMS. Just check before you start trying to use them anyway.

Update. Three are not budging on a deal for the Wildfire - tried to flog me the Hero but not interested as an old phone. Supervisor would not budge from £18 per month (they did start off saying it was £20!). I asked for my PAC code which they just sent ....going to sit tight to see if they make the next move.... There is no loyalty staying with 3 ......we are sorry that you are leaving 3..but the system will not allow us to get a deal.

I am only 60 days out but have rang to see what they will offer me on the Desire but to be honest, they have offered me a worse deal than you can get from 3's website. I was told though that to get a good deal i needed to wait until the last 30 days.....
Seems to me it would be better for 3 to snap customers up early as i am now looking at other networks and offers available PLUS Quidco.
I think 3 have got this policy wrong as i have been a 3 customer for 4 years and i don't want something for nothing just something a little cheaper than a new customer.

    Thank you Mr/Mrs customer.
Thats a marvellous phone, i know it is not what you would like but its a super phone and since I can now offer it to you at a special price because you have been an excellent customer of ours and loyalty superb Ill let purchase it for a one time special discount loyalty offer of £399 plus your previous tariff of £35 for the next 18 months.

Customer "but thats worse than your website offer, the website offers the same phone for £99"

3 "well thats only available if you have good credit. Can you imagine if you cancelled your contract, then signed up on the website but were declined. thats what could happen and the recession has caused a detailed credit check. My advice to you as a superb most excellent and wise customer is to purchase this now.......hold on" "ive just spoken to my supervisor who was stood next to me, he said you can have the phone for £150 plus £40 tarrif for the next 24 months. Hows that! isnt that amazing, you are really lucky. I love you"

customer "ok, so I pay more, for longer with a phone i dont want"

3 "i understand your lovely concerns and really do appreciate you talking to us as a valued customer, ok. Im going to get into trouble. Ill let you have a refurbished phone not of your choice for FREE which includes 100 minutes 100 text messages and free internet for £65 per month of a 96 month contract.......

    customer "hello, is that o2?

After receiving text messages from"3" for the last couple of weeks saying the Iphone was comming I received a phone call today asking if i wanted upgrading to the iphone4. I am only just into my 90days left and was really looking for the Desire but i am considering the iphone. The offer was as it is on the website but apparently they are only offering it to the existing customers for now.
    Offer;
    £30 per month
    £99 up front
    500 xnet mins
    5000 texts
    5000 3-3 mins
    1Gb net
What does everyone think of this?
As an upgrade i was hoping for a better offer than this, if the handset was free then at least its better than Joe Blogs off the street.

Obv I'm not reading things properly!!

Is this definately for the iPhone4? According to my local shop they're not getting the 4 for another 2-3 weeks yet.

I've JUST got a deal on a Desire. Free phone, 300 mins, 5000 texts and 3-3 mins, 500mb of internet (this I'm not bothered about), 24 months warranty, for £25 a month......not sure if it's a good deal or not but it's only £5 a month more than I am paying now!

    Its for the iphone4 (only 12 month guarentee by the way) but delivery guarenteed before the 30th July. Not sure what to do really as at the moment i only pay;
    £5
    300 xnet mins
    1000 texts
    50 MMS
BUT we all like new toys and to access the web really you need a large touch screen like the Desire, X10 or IPhone or even the new Samsung Galaxy S, not sure if the Samsung is available on 3 yet but the reviews are very good. The X10 has improved after its upgrade but still doesn't have 2.1.
