Call them up and select the 'I am thinking of leaving 3 option' (1,1,4,3) rather than Upgrades.0

so realistically I do want to stay with 3 but I want to get a desire if poss.
If I talk to retention about leaving 3 and request my PAC, what does this mean, does my contract end after 30 days or what- I would just be trying to call their bluff so I wouldn't want to be left without any contract, how does this work?0 -

I have no loyalty to 3 at all and will have no hesitation in leaving if they don't come up with a good deal for an existing customer - it's just less hassle that's all. If my PAC code isn't used in 30 days I have to request a new one, the contract doesn't come to an end just another 30 days notice.0 -
IMF, once you've asked for your PAC code give them another call, and if your patience can bare it, listen to all the 'unique' deals they have for you. They'll probably offer you the Samsung galaxy and the Sony X10 and other assorted tat but if you stick with it then tell them you would prefer the Desire, they may make you an offer.0

:rotfl::rotfl:I'll give to another go when she calls me again on Friday - I've had the patter about the samsung galaxy but nothing about the sony, maybe that's to come . When she was trying to "flog" me the HTC Hero, she said it was a "incredibly beautiful" phone - errrrr, I don't think so :rotfl:0 -

After those 18 months you can take out a new contract, leave, or simply continue paying what you have been paying (with the same number of minutes, etc) until you decide to upgrade or leave.
If you are happy with your phone and contract then there is no real pressure to upgrade unless there is a specific phone or deal that you want.0 -
Hi, I've upgraded to an HTC desire last week, which was delivered promptly (lucky me!) with the internet 100 + 500mb data + 100 picture emails for £17 a month. I was also told that my new tariff was going to start on the day I upgraded, so I check the "my 3" page on my old phone and surely enough, it showed my new tariff.
Since getting my new phone however, I checked again and it now shows 300mns voice + 3000 texts + unlimited data, which was my old tariff at £15 a month.
All in all it is a better deal than what I agreed on and I will very unlikely use more than the internet talker 100 mns and texts I originally thought I signed up to, but I wonder how much my bill will come to (£15 or £17 or more?). I'm reluctant to call 3 cs because if it is a mistake on their part then I'd rather play ignorant.
I'm just going to wait for my bill and either have a pleasant surprise (and buy myself a lottery ticket ) or get very angry with someone over in India.
I was wondering if the same had happened to anyone else.0 -

Wow, you have all the luck!
My details now show the Internet Talker plan. If it was me I'd play ignorant for a month and watch what was on my bill. Many moons ago when I called CS I got a text shortly after regarding internet access, after checking my account I found that the Internet Max addon had been added. My next bill didn't show any change to my plan, so I've had free internet ever since. Morally wrong? but it was their mistake.
I'm still wating for my Desire, they won't budge on the delivery date of next Monday
Perhaps this is Karma?0
